I'm totally blind, and have been really interested in this simulator, it's sounds and so on. Most of the videos I find have been just people playing without any dialog, so basically useless to me. You have done an absolutely amazing job on a level with audio-description on TV which I rely on when I listen to programs, so I feel like I'm really getting an understanding of your thoughts whilst you’re flying. Stunning job. I for one, sincerely appreciate you talking through so much of the flight experience. Best video I've come across so far, without a shred of a doubt. Not having working eyes of course doesn’t mean that I can’t use a computer, a phone, make a cup of tea etc. Anyway, this is far beyond the scope of this poor guys’ youtube video, feel free to look me up further if you’re curious. Maybe. This _could_ also be intentional. Movies back in the 80s and 90s that were about modern military stuff frequently used incorrect rank pins/markings on military uniforms. The idea was to confuse 'them damn commies' about what any given insignias meant. Of course they already knew, but that was the intent. MS could be doing something similar here. They may be making it 'close enough' to be realistic and enjoyable, but not dead on for the real thing. Remember that right after the events of 9/11 MS took a lot of heat because there was speculation that MS FlightSim was one of the tools that the terrorists used for training. So the thing here _might_ be to not make it real enough that someone with a few hundred hours of FS2020 could steal an airliner.

WOW the fact that so many of the flight computers actually work as they do in the real airplane is amazing. And little things like the cockpit lights. Very impressive, on top of that the scenery is absolutely gorgeous and I’ve heard that they programmed in real weather and turbulence patterns for accurate aerodynamics. Very very impressive. Steam doesn’t know wtf it’s talking about to give this a 6/10.

Being an Airbus driver myself too I'd say while the 3D models are fantastic, the default A320 systems are simply unfinished, probably 50% of what a real life A320 can do. There are plenty of room for improvement, just not sure whether Asobo will do these improvements or we have to pay extra money for addon from Aerosoft or Fslabs.
@maydaygoingdown56024 жыл бұрын
You will have to pay. The systems have been left out for a reason. Same reason The entirety of the UK scenery is missing loads of landmarks, buildings, objects...Gotta pay Orbx if you want them. Same reason why no matter which edition you buy, there is purposely no 737 or 777, Gotta pay PMDG. This is Microsoft after all...$$$$$$$

@@vg6761 PMDG and ORBX have minimal connection to Microsoft. The little money that they would get from these sales are not enough to justify not finishing them. There is a reason that these planes are not finished: Microsoft does not have the A/C specialists that the other developers do. Doing a study level Airbus was only just finished a couple years ago, and that took an entire decade.

I scrolled down a bit and didn't see anyone actually answer your question about how to get a wing view so apologizes if you already figured it out. Camera > Showcase > and then down at the bottom will be two menus; Free Camera and Fixed Camera. Under fixed camera, External 1,2, 3, 5, 8, 9 give you good exterior shots of the wings/engines. External 11, 12 give you interior shots of the wing and engine.

As a Flight Sim newbie & fellow real world Airbus pilot (in my case, A330), I've been very keen to get my hands on this. First impressions: the visuals are stunning without a doubt. In fact, on just about every level it seems to be a huge achievement, except in the one that matters most: aircraft realism. Maybe I'm just expecting too much, but when MS & Asobo made such a big deal about collaboration with real world aircraft manufacturers, for me the reality has not lived up to the expectation. Too little functionality & totally unrealistic flight performance. As has been mentioned elsewhere, I'll be eagerly waiting for 3rd party developers (e.g. Aerosoft) to offer much better & more realistic aircraft add-ons. Until then, this is nice to look at, but definitely not a serious flight sim.

I feel like the runway markings and the runways overall need to be Rough up abit. Most of the airports I have landed at have that dirty worn look. Xplane runways look more like the real thing. FS2020 need to get the runways and taxiways correct.

Looking forward to learning from a real 'driver' - just watching you go through the procedures and listening to your descriptions of the equipment and functions is already helpful. And of course as someone who has just hauled one into the air in sim and tried to land it twice with no assists, no skill, and no clue (still, I'm 1-for-2, so maybe I DO have luck...), I will take all the useful help I can get! Really enjoyed this video!

@@awkwardlycast5801 okay, so fly to the end of the world some time. Or explain why you can fly to other countries from east or west. Or explain why the earth's end isnt common lore featured as foundational knowledge like its roundness is. It hasnt nothing to do with education. It has everything to do with common sense, for one very simple reason: if something is true, its observable. If its observable, people will agree on it. If people agree on it, it will be used to communicate other things, like how we land rockets, or how we orbit the sun, or how the earth's magnetic poles work. THOSE are education. Do you mean to dismiss the science of a rocket orbiting the earth, if education is indoctrination? Or explain how a compass works if the earth doesnt have poles? There is one last thing I can say to make sure your argument is COMPLETELY demolished. We both agree truth is observable. That is why you claim a level flying aircraft is evidence for a flat earth. So then show me when humanity has observed the earth is infinitely flat, or has observed the ends of the earth. Last time I checked, the rest of humanity has observed earth from space. I eagerly await your reply. So that I can ignore it. I have nothing else I could argue. Stupid does as stupid does.
