How did thr car run? Did it burn oil? What were the compression #'s?

Don't you have to position the end gaps of the rings a certain way? Didn't see that mentioned

yes you do when installing the pistons back to the cylinders, not included in this video

Would you know the ring gaps for 1.6 manual?

from what I can see 1.6 NA has different specs on 2nd ring gap, which is 0.006''~0.011'' (same as the 1st ring gap)
