Just a tip but between each layer of material hit it with a heat gun or blowtorch, It pops the excess bubbles within the epoxy that you added from stirring it to mix the hardener. Also using wax parchment paper help save the moulds you made.

I found that spraying a thin coat of lubricant such as wd40 on smooth metal moulds works fabulously to make the piece easy to remove after the resin has set

Beautiful knife. Could you please explain to me how you avoided the electric corrosion betwee copper and steel? Is it no rust steel or tool grade steel?

I used a stainless steel knife blank. Copper and stainless are not electrochemically dissimilar metals so there will be no galvanic reaction. Also an electrolyte would need to be present for a reaction to occur if the metals were dissimilar. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the question.

Why the heating and tempering of the copper? Is it easyer to work with?

I used copper water pipe which is rigid and doesn't work easily. It needs to be annealed or softened to become workable. Thanks for watching.
