Thank U for the very enjoyable & enlightening interview with your tribes women. 😊 Amfam indeed! We're coming typhoon or not. 😮 😅 ❤ 🎉 Was "Rich" the youngest? She seemed so demure, shy & reserved. She has model beauty. I like her height. For me Rich was the most charming and alluring. You chose three fairly distinct personalities. I appreciate getting a wide view of The Ladies of Leyte. They all seem well spoken, thoughtful, and intelligent. Is education a priority among the Waray? Pea? I want to comment on your kind, compassionate, patient, professional interview skills with humour and some "spice".😉 I appreciate a window into your local world. 🫛 you're "representing" for The Waray People and giving them an opportunity to shine 🌟😉 and these ladies rose to the occasion! The show was very very entertaining. I applaud all of you. May The LORD Of Heaven Bless! Peace. They were all a joy to see & hear. Wonderful! 🫛🙏🌹💪❤

Absolutely true P, my wife is Wari and despite her being very short 4 foot 11 if you upset her, she will attack you. Don’t ever hurt a member of her family or her husband if you do, you will have to deal with her wrath. She is very loving and affectionate she is also very tender hearted. And you will not find a better friend, but don’t let her find out your gossiping about her behind her back, if you do, you will have to deal with her because she will confront you to your face in a heartbeat. She is fiercely loyal, and I love that about her, there is nothing that I will not do for her or her family. Because they are all just like her.

The best way I have found to deal with Tampo is to address the situation directly but lightly, don't get angry or upset, let her know you wont accept no communication, let her know you will let her be for awhile, and keep telling jokes until she laughs. Getting her to smile or laugh usually breaks the Tampo in my experience. Remember the culture, you are expected to be the leader as a man, and stay calm. Being a leader does not mean being bossy, arrogant or demanding! Being calm, confident, and assured of yourself, along with a little humility and respect will do wonders!

Great video Pea! 🙂 Yes, you hear the same saying, especially from those that just watch videos on YT made by westerners, that Filapinas are "all the same"... That is a very short sighted, inexperienced comment. The Philippines has rich cultural differences and diversity that most people just don't know about... Everything that I know about the Philippines I learned from your channel, and my own experiences, since I began visiting in late Spring (Spring in the US) of 2022... I spend an average of 6 months a year there, and I learn more and more from you, and my visits each time. If you want to truly learn about a culture, you must choose your teacher wisely, and go there to immerse yourself in the culture... Don't just rely on YT videos from foreigners that are mostly inexperienced and narrow minded with their views and opinions... Thank you Pea! I learned a lot once again! 🙂❤️

The video I've been waiting for. I've met 3 women at work in Indiana that said they were from wary. I learned a few phrases like good morning and good evening. Started my crush on Philippians. I truly can't see leaving everything yet, but have tried to converse with ones I run into.

Hello Pea, Thank you for the insight on Waray women. I am engaged to one now, she is from Homonhon and a content creator like you. What has absolutely cemented the connection for me was that she is fiercely independent, even raising her own funds to buy a house. After a long LDR with another Filipina who was only in contact when in need of funds, the physical visit exposed her true colours. I have moved on to better and brighter. With my Waray woman beside me, I can retire from here and enjoy life in PH.

10:15: “Voodoo doll behavior” is actually referred to as “Sympathetic Magic” in English. Except to discuss the difference between Filipinos living in Manilla and Cebu, the differences among the ethnic minorities of the Philippines don’t get much coverage, so it’s great to see this topic get some live. Thanks for uploading! :)

My wife is Higaonon. The Higaonon are the "Weavers of Peace". However, you still don't want to cross her. She is feisty, and in her youth actually was a warrior. She understands Waray-Waray fairly well.

Hi Pea …another great video. Since moving to the Philippines I am always amazed at the variety of actual cultures/dialects within a small country. It’s actually part of the country’s beauty. There is always something new to discover, visit or just the differences in cultures. It’s like drive a few hours or take a short flight and it’s almost like visiting a different country. Thankfully almost all speak either Tagalog or English. Looking forward to more travels in the future and seeing the sites and people. Interesting interviews. Take care and keep the vids coming. 😊😊😊

Funny girls get together! That was fun. I like a warrior who can be outspoken as long as she is always happy and fun. It makes for a much better day. When I saw the outfit at the end, I thought of Pocahontas for some reason! It looked kind of sexy! Woohoo! LOL! You look good with bangs. Thanks for sharing my friend! take care and god bless everyone love you all!

Thanks for sharing Pea! Always nice to see different people. This is the first time I have heard of Waray, although I always knew there were different groups of people and spoken languages in the Phils. The three ladies were lovely. Rose however caught my eye and lets just leave it at that.

Nice interview Pea , I watch a lot of your videos and find you to be very entertaining. My wife is Waray and we have a farm in northern part of Leyte so I know a lot about that area. I often ask my wife to slow down when speaking even in Tagalog so I can understand her. Wow, waray talk so fast. Nice people, but almost all are nice in all provinces. And they are very superstitious. We have had to have an Albularyo come to our farm to chase away some bad spirits. And for some reason, it works. Waray women make good wives as do so many other women from out in the province.

Well, that segment was simple adorable. It's very interesting to learn about your tribe; the Waray. We Americans don't really have tribes (except for the Native Americans) as much as we have nationalities: Scots-American, Italian-American, African-American. Your people settled there about 3,000 years ago during the Iron Age. Waray were mighty seamen. Are y'all on Negros Island? That's where Dumaguete is located. Alrighty, Miss Pea, have a lovely weekend, and thanks, again for sharing! Basta ang Waray, hindi uurong sa away!!
