I just found your channel yesterday and I have already watched a dozen of videos lol. You are obviously very intelligent and intuitive about all things Filipina and I want to say thank you. I married my high school sweetheart who was Filipino and Chinese but she was American born not from the Philippines. We were married for more than a dozen years and they were the best years of my life. She gave me an incredible son who is now a grown man. He was there as I cared for his mum when she was ill during the last 2 years of her life. Some people have reacted to that as if it was a great tragedy but the reality was much different. I was able to not work during that time and take care of her every day. I didn’t want strangers taking care of her and robbing her of her dignity. My son saw me doing her hair and nails, helping her with clothes, and he knew I was the one helping her with showering. He saw me pick her up and carry her to any place in our home that she wanted to be. I cooked and cleaned as well as doing the shopping. You see he had grown up seeing his mum take care of me and him as well as our home. So what he witnessed was how a real man takes care of his wife no matter what. He’s now married with 2 boys of his own and every year on Father’s Day she writes me a letter thanking me for raising a real man that she is lucky enough to have as her husband. It’s been quite awhile since I held her in my arms and according to my son it’s time I remarried. Of course he also told me I had better go to the Philippines to find a wife because only a Filipina is good enough for his father lol. So by this time next year I will be visiting the Philippines and will hopefully find that special lady. I might just stay there since my money there will allow me to give her an even better standard of living than I can give her anywhere else. After watching your video about maids I will probably leave that up to her lol. Cheers

An interesting perspective as always Pea. In an ideal world, maybe a relationship based purely on attraction and love would be great. Unfortunately, practicalities most often come into play, and the love can hopefully follow. In any relationship both parties need to gain something beneficial, the for better or worse needs to work one way. Girls get a better quality less stressful life, and guys get a better quality more beautiful and usually younger partner, than they would expect to get in their own country. It’s a win win for both of them.

My wife neither targeted nor pursued me. We met by chance, and I mean chance; I had happened to miss a flight, it was her day off, and we bumped into one another outside a convenience store in a remote part of Hong Kong. I treated her and her friends to snacks and drinks later that evening. The following day I literally bumped into her as I was returning from the gym and she was rushing off to catch a train. Now, 7 years later we live a comfortable life with our family in the Philippines. I don't believe in fate, but these circumstances have me questioning my lack of belief.

Well Pea, I'm batting .500 in the Filipina Leagues with one strikeout and one homerun. Based on experience, I would have to say that both Filipinas and Foreigners target each other but for different reasons. Just as you mentioned in your video, most of them are in it for the right reasons in the beginning but as things change it tends to influence the relationship dynamics. Where there was love in the beginning, unfortunately this fades because of how each of them perceive the fulfillment of their needs. Don't take your Filipina for granted and always show her love. If you found a real diamond from the province you will be happier beyond your wildest dreams. One last tip for those still searching.... Leave the Bar girl where you found her, you can't save her no matter how hard you try.

Maybe I'm young and naive (34 years old), but I feel like it'd be much more meaningful to support and provide for a "desperate" Filipina than a woman from a richer country who could do fine on her own anyway. With a Filipina, you actually have the ability to transform her life (and her family's life, if you wish), without even being rich by western standards. Knowing that you did that for her and her family, especially if you really love them, might provide some pretty deep meaning and fulfillment.
@DavidECoy2 жыл бұрын
The problem with western women is they don’t need us anymore so they treat us like they don’t want us even though they do. Filipinas don’t really needs us but certainly want us and treat us like they want us. Hi Paul, the problem lies in the expectation and non-ending request for money. In some scenarios, you never know if your money is truly for the better such as providing college opportunities and food, or simply using it to gamble or wasting it on alcohol. Another detrimental impact of giving them money is the tendency to make them lazy. I understand the concept of supporting elderly parents who is unable to work anymore. What about the able-bodied relatives, cousins and siblings who may intentionally not work and wait for your monthly allowance?

Firstly, your editing skills have come a long way. Congrats 👏🏻 Economics plays a role in finding a mate for most women and in some cases wimpy guys. I'm ok with it being a factor, so long as it is not the PRIMARY factor. Let's face it, it's no joke being broke. When one is married, you become one flesh. Whatever one does, be it good or bad affects the other. Which is why it's so important to know each other well prior to such a serious commitment. Personally, I have no issues sending a set amount of money on a monthly basis to my girls family once we marry. I understand the culture and what is expected of her and I'm cool with that. Again, one flesh. Open and honest communication is key to a truly happy, loving, transparent marriage. Those are my 2 cents worth. Thanks for posting Pea. Stay safe girl.

Great job as usual Pea! You are dead on "target." For me it all boils down to integrity. NTEGRITY is IMPERATIVE in dealing with others. Some people use your integrity & your other values against you, so learning to spot snakes is also important. Yet most people are as honest with u as with themselves. The trouble is, most people lie to themselves at some point, in some way. To avoid pitfalls, you must learn how to increase another person's self-honesty by watching for details the indicate their internal dissonances. Where they fool themselves, you can aid them by subtly bringing things into a more clear focus. Many people espouse two values as very important, yet those 2 values war with each other (tolerance vs morals OR tact, manners & face-saving vs brutal honesty, for instance). Very often, we see what we wish to see. We miss contraindicators & warning signs because we choose to overlook them for "the bigger picture." Yet, if we force ourselves to watch for indicators of future challenges, then we can prepare for them & maybe even have a solution waiting for the problem once it finally rears its head. >> When I was with a Filipina single mom, I did all I could to learn about her surroundings, physical & social. It took a few months, but she finally admitted something to me I had already prepared for ... her sister's son called her "mom" & she would feel bad if she left PH without him. Thanks in large part to your videos (but also thanks to Calvin & Old Dog) I knew to look for things like that ahead of time & told her I had merely been waiting for her to mention it. I had actually expected to take in not just her 1 kid, but both of the sister's kids (disabled sister).

I was on KZbin yesterday watching a documentary on modern feminism in China because I was wondering where the culture was at. The documentary showed me how universal all people around the world are. As soon as China's economic status changed in the world the Chinese woman's traits that she's looking for in a husband, went straight to the same traits that Western women look for he needed to have an apartment a job and his own money then he would be considered boyfriend material. This is an instinctive part of the brain this is why female birds are attracted to male birds who can make the best secure nest for their young. The desire for security is just human nature and you're right all women are drawn to security.

I find nothing wrong with that. However, most Chinese women are independent working adults. Unlike the utang na loob culture, most of them priorities the kids, themselves and the husband before their family when forming a new family. Most of their family members work hard and not expecting to seek a handout from foreigners. It more of a teamwork whereby both couples work together to have a better quality of life in their newly formed family. In addition, there is once a "1-child policy", which also reduce the risk of poverty due to inefficient child planning.

Pea, as always you go where no reporter dares to go, and do what no reporter does. You cover topics that are uncomfortable for some people go through, or even think about going through, in a way that becomes comfortable with your ability to create a train of thought that allows the viewer to see the whole story that you present, "the good, the bad and the ugly". And you do this in a way that is not dogmatic to one perspective or another, you treat all angles of the story with professionalism and respect. This is the main reason your channel continues to grow. Another reason for your channel to keep growing is that you give the audience a light hearted approach with you uncover all the truths about your content. Ever since I started watching your channel I've enjoyed even the tough topics that you respected by not adding any humor into, it shows your audience that you have undying respect for those affected by hardships, and crisis, while still bringing all the information to the forefront so they can see the reality of the situation. You never cease to amaze your audience with your knowledge backed by your research of the western cultures as you compare them to the culture of your homeland. I personally hope that your channel will continue to grow as more channels from different countries take hold of how you are doing things and run with it in their countries. This way people from around the world can learn about traditions and cultures of the people in the area before they head out on vacation or retirement and respect the laws, customs and traditions before they make a mistake and end up on a blacklist or worse. I believe that the format of your channel should be the industry standard for introducing people to their countries as visitors, or long term retirement residents.

@@kingmaafa120 - NOT true; there are still lots of good ones in the Philippines! I found one myself, and we’ve been together about 3 years now. Unlike Western wahmen, who start out seemingly pretty good but get worse and worse the longer you are together, my Filipina continuously surprises me with how great she is! She seemed very good at first, but the longer we are together and the more we go through, she has shown herself to be absolutely AMAZING. I had honestly given up hope and dreams that women like her even existed. Through my own bad experiences and the general consensus from men online, I had “realized” the things I wanted from a woman were just a fantasy. I was wrong. But me being someone of very few means I explained to them what my situation is and they're usually very understanding of that especially older filipinas. I don't believe anyone can say that anyone group targets another group because that's a blanket statement and you can't cover everyone with the same blanket. With age, I've become more interested in "being" vs "having"...and most Filipinos live by "being" with a strong desire to "having" more. So it is not a surprise to see "targeting" on both sides for a mutual benefit. My question is...would Filipinos be the happy people they are if they became westernized? I think not...crazy, right?
@acornsucks21112 жыл бұрын

They not always happy. Good people doesn't necessarily mean always happy. Many are homeless and who could be happy in that situation? They can be stressed out and depressed but they keep trying to do better.
@parabiology10142 жыл бұрын
@MyPOV - if they become “Westernized”, the answer is no - they would be just like all the wahmen in the West. That does NOT mean they can’t come to the West though. They don’t magically become “Westernized”, it is a (tragic) process that occurs over time, one small step at a time. This process can be slowed greatly or even halted, but unfortunately can **never** be reversed. If they do become Westernized, it’s over. The great girl you knew will never come back. There are many things you can do to slow or even potentially halt this process though, like returning to the Philippines often, and particularly you have to be careful about who you allow around them. NEVER let single women from the West, and PARTICULARLY feminists around your Filipina, as they are agents of corruption, misery, and Westernization. There are many other things that can slow it down, and there are many things that cause it, but unless asked I’m not going to list them all here as it would take quite a bit of time 🤷♂️
@andei_2 жыл бұрын
Interesting meditation. As I perceive it, the West is doomed. The government, the elite and academia has systematically eroded all the valuable traditions and customs that made the West the cultural pillar of the world in the first place. Religion went out the window, marriage has become a laughing stock, morality has become subjective and personalized, and the cultural is rather stagnant and decadent. By contrast, most Filipinos in The Philippines are simple, conservative and traditional. Most have some fear of God in one way or another, religious or not, marriage is still valuable and appreciate it in most circumstances, there are strong moral values, and culture is still prevalent.
@andei_2 жыл бұрын
@@parabiology1014 Sure thing. Radical feminists and the men that allow them to get what they want are great factors in the downfall of the West. Feminists and feminized men are a bad cancer slowly but surely corrupting the entire Western body.

Everyone wants a better life. Americans want a feminine woman who takes great care of them and treats them well. Filipinas want a good husband that also treats them well and takes good care of them financially. When the two find each other it’s usually a great deal for both of them. That describes me and my wife. She takes great care of me and respects me like no western woman ever has because I’m not the best looking or in shape man. I work very hard to take care of her financially and love her and respect her also. Most of the time I actually want to help those around me who are less fortunate and my wife makes sure everyone including her family dose not take advantage of my generosity. Which makes me love her even more. With the way I look, I could have never found a woman to love and be loved by in America and having a loving relationship is worth almost any price. I have had many Filipina girlfriends over the years while looking for the right one to marry so I know all to well how Americans are targeted both by bad and good Filipinas. It’s up to you to take your time and find a good one. Once you do, she will be worth all your money and then some. Good luck and happy hunting fellas. Great show Pea and keep helping lonely average Americans find good looking and good hearted Filipinas to have long lasting loving relationships where both feel like winners.

Hey Miss Pea, I’m one of the unlucky guys who married the wrong Filipina. Yes, it took years before I finally discovered I was being scammed but that doesn’t mean all Filipina’s are bad. I know there are good Filipinas out there. I’ve seen many here in the states who love their husbands and treat them with respect. When I come to the Philippines I will have learned about all the scams and will be able to avoid being targeted. I don’t need a Filipina I want a Filipina. The difference is, I’m not going there for the women but because I love your country so much. I will be using the head on my shoulders to make the right decision regarding what Filipina I go out with instead of the little head that will get me in trouble. If I’ve learned anything from your videos over the past two years it’s this: Don’t just jump into a relationship, get to know the Filipina before you commit and don’t act like a love sick puppy. If you can do these things, you should be able to bypass the scammers and the ones who aren’t serious and find someone who will care about you and has your best interests at heart. So, Miss Pea, are you still available? If I’m going to find a nice Filipina I might as well go for the best!!! Lol… Take care. You always hit the nail on the head when it comes to good information and I know you’ll never steer me wrong. Thanks again.

This foreigner is meeting his filipina in Thailand, because the Philippines has way too many restrictions against unvaccinated foreigners. So it's off to the land of smiles. I am seeing a lot more of this type of reuniting, it's a shame the Philippines is losing out on the full potential of tourist income. After all of the hardships your country has seen, you would think your government would lighten up.

The Philippines government has their heart in the right place. They are just doing what they think is best for their people. U are right though it’s too bad u can’t come here. Never been to there but always wanted to go and will go some day but if they ever do let unvaccinated people come here I shud b on the 1st plane here lol

You are the Filipina Bomb. Super content. I lived in Manila as a child, with father there with US corporation. We all loved the PI. I'm now on Guam, retired Navy officer, considering a permanent move to the PI. You're the best FP!

Very even-handed take on a difficult subject. No matter how one words it, all relationships ARE transactional.

Ha Pea, in this one I decided to hang and examine every word, even down to the inflection of your voice. And you passed with flying colours. Your choice of words and completely honest presentation. Brilliant. Probably your best video ever. Damn your good. No wonder your channel is so popular. 😊🥰😁
