Hey Pea. What's with this new "safe space" law I'm hearing about? As femimism finally broken through to your shores?
@guyandre4946
@guyandre4946 2 жыл бұрын
You are definitely right Pea! Filipinas can be very adventurous. Last week my Filipina friend came back from work, grabbed my hand and took me forcibly into the bedroom! I was shocked, it hadn’t been like this for a long time! She threw me onto the bed, and pulled the sheets over us! Then she said: “ Look … ! My new watch glows in the dark! “ …
@TheFilipinaPea
@TheFilipinaPea 2 жыл бұрын
@@spykemxd That law has been signed and implemented since 2019! It’s nothing new, and yet I haven’t heard of a single case of it affecting any expats or local men. If it’s such a big deal, I wonder why that is? (because it’s nothing to worry about). What you may not understand is that Filipinos don’t like confrontation, and we don’t run to the police or the lawyer every time someone offends us, unlike in the west. In fact, did you know there’s been a law on the books for years that makes it illegal for people to publicly criticize someone? Calling them names or calling them a liar on social media is illegal (like the KZbinr who made that video does all the time), and yet how many people have sued him? Does he seemed even slightly concerned about the laws here? I wonder why not? I don’t see why so many foreign men are afraid of this law just because some KZbinr (who by the way is NOT a lawyer) is interpreting this law to stir up hysteria and get views. My simple advice is don’t commit the crime - it’s that simple. Even IF you’re accused of committing this violation/crime the accuser has to prove it beyond doubt in court. I think we are far busier just trying to survive than to deal with that nonsense. Filing a case against someone here can take years, so why bother if your goal is to just to hassle someone? Even if the accuser is only after a money settlement, he/she still needs money to start the process of filing a case. Unlike in the west, most lawyers here don’t take cases without money UPFRONT. Your average citizen doesn’t have any. In short, just be a law abiding citizen - why worry?! But I’ll be happy to hear about all the cases created by this ‘new’ law that isn’t new - if you can even find a single case that involves an expat! I bet you can’t ☺️ If I told you there was a species of snake in the Philippines that could give you a nasty bite , and cost you a few thousand dollars in medical treatments if you were bitten, but that no one had seen this snake in three years and it actually had never bitten a single foreigner, would you really avoid coming to the country out of fear? Seriously? 😂

Manila is rough around the airport, but it gets better the further away from it you get in Manila. Makati is pretty cool. There is a city thing at the moment where some of the kuyas in their 30-40s crowd are passive aggresive if you don't speak Tagalog or don't have a permanent Filipina partner. There are always the scam traps also, so security can sometimes be rough because that is their way of protecting you through the language barrier.

I dated an ilonga for several years. There were some cultural issues that I adjusted to without much trouble. The 2 issues that I could not adjust were: 1 walking slightly behind me. No far just a step behind. #2: never giving a direct answer as in where to go and what to do. She always answered wherever you like. Finally I sat her down in private and explained that walking behind me makes me feel she that feels less worthy than I am and it makes me feel bad. As for the answer thing, I explained that I don't have any idea where a good restaurant was and that is why I asked. Once she understood what was bothering me, she changed and we only had 1 issue left. Balout. Sorry but just the smell makes me vomit. We agreed that she could eat it as she liked it. But she goes without me and gets what she wants. Then comes back and brushes her teeth and all was good. Other than the misunderstanding on the first 2 things , that were easily solved, by far she was the best GF I could ever have. My friends think I'm crazy but you will never a more caring ,patient and giving woman than a fillipina.

I agree with you on the balout!!! But my issue is when my Filipina cooks that dried fish in the house, I tell her to open the windows and doors, cause I can't stand the smell of it. Makes me feel sick. But my Filipina is also illongo and I never had a problem with her walking behind me. She always walked along side of me holding my hand. The only other issue I do have with her is how she doesn't let me know that she stopped to look at something and I'm still walking until I notice she's not along side of me and I have to turn around and look for her. I have discussed it with her but she is stubborn. So is your Filipina stubborn too?

I met my Filipina wife while waiting to be introduced to her friend through a mutual friend. Her inner strengths and occasionally wacky sense of humor appealed to me as did her strong faith. I soon forgot that I was supposed to meet someone else. Her first reaction was one of immediate rejection, but we gradually became friends, then closer friends and 7 months later we were married. We will be married 28 years soon. We are both stubborn and it is a good thing in our case. We both know which hard lines not to cross. Family relations and economic plans have been the occasional sticking points, the Filipina is accustomed to more soft power in such matters than is normal in an American couple, but we find ourselves more often on the same side. I will be with this one until the end.

My wife is Ukrainian and likes to hold "the lumber while she slumbers" (great metaphor, BTW). Fine with me. If I sleep "behind her" (spoon position) she holds it between her thighs or even puts it inside! 🤷‍♂ It was pretty easy to adjust to. She will also do it if we are lounging on the sofa watching a movie. I think, for her, it's just an intimacy thing. Like holding hands...but better.

Hey Pea. I think a lot of foreign guys forget a Filipina is still a woman, and they need more than a phone to hold. I don't think a man in pursuit should jump on a plane after a month of corresponding, but to leave a woman waiting for 2-1/2 years, and to expect her to be a faithful partner in my opinion is a very unreasonable expectation. My advice to guys; Be sure you are financially, and emotionally ready for what will be a LTR for a long while, make a point of visiting, and then revisiting, and don't play games. If you wind up with a scammer, you will know it. If you find a woman who is love worthy, love her with everything you got, and be attentive. Even if it means burning through all your vacation time , and several grand per year for 1-2 years. Be good.

Filipinas not being adventurous with food - many years ago while in the Philippines I was spending a couple of weeks with a young lady. I asked if she had ever tried Indian food (my favourite). She said no but I was surprised she had no interest in even trying it. Finally, I managed to talk her into going to an Indian restaurant one night....she absolutely loved it....couldn't get enough and every night thereafter she wanted to go back to the same restaurant. Cost me a small fortune. So, be careful what you wish for. If they just want chicken adobo and rice, maybe just smile and say "sure".

A good Filipina is simple, do t try to impress her, she is impressed to have you. We as foreigners always try to impress with gifts, food etc. Not Filipinas, they are simple and full of caring love. You want her to be happy, take her to the market and eat food or jollybee. Take her to random walks or random trips, spend time with her. Also write her letters, she’ll love the letter more than what ever you’ll give her, simple and remember your special days, she’ll be more than happy.

@@TheFilipinaPea One question on racism and not sure if you cover this in one of your videos. I'm a Black South African going to the Manila for 2 weeks on vacation. I will be meeting up with a friend of mine but I hope not to encounter any of the stereotypical racism over there. I'm a senior engineer who travels around the world implementing projects and I encountered stereotyping in Brazil. I booked a taxi for the week to take me and the white junior engineer from the hotel to the office where we will be working. The taxi driver was a white guy and when it came to paying him, he asked who would be paying and I said that I will. He smirked and said that it will be expensive and if I can afford it, I told him obviously I can. End of the week on the invoice he put the white junior engineers name on the invoice to pay for the weekly trip. In Dubai I've had people overlook me at times and serve the other white guests. These aren't common occurrences as I've been to plenty of countries that treats everyone fair and equal, I'm just curious if this is a issue in the Philippines, particularly Manila as I'll be there for 1 week then the 2nd week I'll be visiting one of the islands (decided on Siquijor after watching your video on it) :)

re - "holding the lumber while they slumber". I have experienced a number of girls from various races/cultures do this. The common denominator seems to be that when we were very , ummm, physically compatible, and she had a back arching, toe curling big-O - she would often snuggle up and fall asleep holding her new favorite thing.

Hello Pea, Thank you for sharing the letters, I call it lessons learned...I believe your advice is spot on, having a conversation about a girl, or family coming over before hand leaves nothing for someone to Interpret different...many foreigners get themselves in a pickle for lack of understanding of your culture. Been in Dumaguete 3 weeks now and have experienced the family visits already..in each case we knew exactly how long the family was staying over....we planned everything before hand...Absolutely love her family..since I need to return to the US for medical reasons I could not travel much here so her family came to visit and thank me in person for helping her family recover from the typhoon devastation...in short, we asked how long could their family members stay, and we offered to accommodate their stay in one of the better hotels in Dumaguete and they chose not to stay...to that end all is simple with communication

I had a similar adoption attempt during my trip there last month. Met a woman that works as a teller for Chinabank in Makati at a cafe during breakfast. Went on a date with her on Friday evening and she stuck around all weekend. By Sunday afternoon she was already picking places to live, and mentioned that she wanted a daughter as her first born child. I was trying to explain that I was leaving a few days from then, and I didn’t (and still don’t) know when exactly that I would be returning. Worst case scenario is that it might be a year before I can retire, especially with all of the polarization in US politics.

The scary part of this, is wow, who could be so lucky as to win your heart? The man would have to be an enormously outgoing personality to even hold your attention for as long as the date could even last, much less a lifetime! He does not necessarily have to be rich coz everybodee Knows you are not "HIGH" MAINTENANCE, financially, You are very well grounded. However you are in an intellectual sense., I do believe It will take somebodee that Could keep you interested like 50 first dates with Adam Sandler This is my best guess, coz you are such an awesome girl like she was. I love that movie coz if I Was in your life, that would be the perfect scenario. I would win you heart each and every day. You definitely deserve that. You give me chills at the very thought of having an opportunity Of being that blessed. The competition for that spot in your life is mind bending.you are without a doubt, a "PRIZE".!! ONE IN A MILLION. You are a self made, highly educated in life, world affairs, A virtual wealth of knowledge In your own culture, a purest Heart of gold, stable in all your ways, very well respected but most of all you respect others You love the poor, made me cry Many times at seeing you change the very lives you came in contact with, I have watched you for years now. You are drop dead pretty, long hair, dress conservatively, talented beyond belief, never know what you are capable of next, always surprise us all. To have you to fall in love with? OMG, to have you as a mother of our child? I could only imagine the happiness of watching you coddling a baby & nurturing it into a fantastic adult. Yes I can honestly attest to this Pea, you once did a skit as you always do, this one is the best, "I DREAM OF JEANNIE"!!!@" So, you are a "DREAM", & some Guy will be the luckiest man alive That will come along and find you, rub you the correct way, & Not be your "MASTER" just your equal, love you forever, coz how could he not? One last thing I can say, is I hope that he honestly will feel like I do. Is the best of anything, to be able to cuddle up with you on rainy days, or nights, with a good book And like our life together, read each chapter one by one, as we write our own. God Bless you Pea, you instill In us all "dream of Pea"

@@invisiblerevolution I can assure you that was most likely not the case. I've been to the Philippines a few times and outside of the "bar girls", most women there really just want to secure their man and let him know that she is not going anywhere. Like Filipina Pea said, don't just start giving them money for no reason, or you can end up in a situation like that. However, If you're treating her right and she's happy, then of course she wants to stick around. Let her prove it first that money is what she's after. You will usually see through that pretty quickly if you don't have the belvidere glasses on lol.

Hey Pea I just wanted to say thank you for all your video posts. I’m here in the Philippines with my fiancé in Boso Boso Highlands. We are only spending two days here. I’ve spend the last week at her house with her family. It had been an experience. I’ve learned to put lots and lots of ice with my Red Horse while everyone else has enough to drink to ask the questions 🤣🤣🤣🤣. But we are spending time her and I together. My fiancé would be the third Filipina in my family and I understand why now. Thank you for all you do. Also, I had so much worry and anxiety about entering the country, but it surprisingly went quick. No issues. For any of your viewers who are traveling I highly recommend Japanese Airlines. I experienced some of these things in Thailand too. I thought we were just friends at first. But, she said "you're single. I'm single ok?" I only nodded thinking nothing of it. But then, the next day, she started coming to my apartment cooking and cleaning. She often stayed overnight. And everywhere I went, she had to be there too. I guess I was dating her without knowing I was dating her. I finally accepted her as an official girlfriend because she was still nice, but that was very interesting. I don't know how similar this is to the Philippines, but this happened to me in Thailand where the girl wouldn't leave upon me meeting her.

As far as what occurred to me, my girlfriends, if raised south of the U.S. the great majority liked to hold lumber at night while I slept. This was true in the Caribbean as well as the mainland. The action of holding you in this way never happened in the U.S. or Canada. I believe it to be cultural items that influence this habit. When the woman is a woman (feminen), she seems to find security I this action. It’s almost like a way for her to say this is my man.

@@TheFilipinaPea No I haven't because my son is married to a Korean and she wouldn't like it. To her it would be like me dating family. She gets disgusted if I even mention if I think any random Asian girl is attractive. Plus I'm not assertive with women. I can't even make "the first move" (to kiss). When I was younger, I didn't have to. Super horny white or Latina women would come on to me instead, one girl even roofied me. But now that I'm older (52) and half the American women are gay, they don't want me. Sometimes gay women act like they like me a little, but the straight one's don't. They're looking for confident, cocky, assertive types. I don't think a Filipina would know what to do with me. I won't come on to a girl, I just can't. And the prettier she is the more intimidated I am.

In November 2021 they announced that the borders would be opening so bought a ticket for February, but a week later the opening was canceled due to omicron. I held onto my ticket, hoping and praying that something would change in the next few months. A week before my flight the border opened and I was able to spend some time with her and get engaged! She's a sweet young christian lady that I really enjoy the little chat time that we get from time to time. I've been attracted to the ladies with a little more color in their skin than I have for a long time now but I really don't think that any of the ladies that I have met online are really wanting anything to do with me other than a friendship. It's all good though. They haven't asked me to send money or anything like that and I honestly appreciate that. So you have just as much of a chance as the next guy to be with her. One girl I knew, attractive, great body just wanted to leave her crappy city life situation living with her step father. I told her I was gonna come meet her but she was desperate, met someone else instead

Great video, and really nice advice from our Filipina Pea. Ah the slumber lumber. Its the greatest honor you can receive after intimacy with a woman. All women do it, and its a sign she enjoys your company immensely.

I had a long time filipina girlfriend back in the early 1980's when I came to the Philippines on military orders. She was very eager to please in the bedroom, anything I wanted was mine. I am of the impression she was a freelancer but was looking for a long term BF which ended up being me. Fast forward to 2014 I met another beautiful filipina 20 years my junior and we chatted on line for a few months before I came to the Philippines to meet her in person. On meeting she also was eager to please in the bedroom which was fine with me as she is even more pretty in person then in her pictures. I knew what a mistake I made on letting the first one go but I was not in a position to bring her to the states etc. This time around I married the second one, 6 years and 2 kids later I still think I made the right choice though honestly the first one who was also very pretty was a lot more laid back personality wise. No where near as jealous or easily upset over next to nothing. There are some more details I would like to share with you someday but not on a public forum like this.

If you are not ready to be instantly adopted and cherish your privacy don't bring her home. There are plenty of hotels in the PI and you save the grief of asking her to leave your home. Another option is go on some dates and keep it platonic until you determine if she's someone you really like. I've heard expats say give it 2 to 6 months before you move her into your place. Once she has her first sleep over she will assume she's a permanent resident. She might even invite other family members to come live with you guys. LOL

I’ll be finally visiting my Filipina in September ( a birthday she’ll always remember) . I want to thank you for this channel, it has helped greatly. I’ll be there for a month and we will be traveling a lot of the country. She herself admitted to not know a great deal of the area outside Butuan . Is there a video of interesting places to go to in the Philippines ?

Wife and I have been together about 7 years now here in Texas. When she first got here she was like the "typical" Filipina. Not anymore...She knows I don't step out and I know she won't either. She will meet with her friends for chica chica and I head to the farm to relax. Sometimes I get home first sometimes she does. No "doubts" in either of our minds. RElationships build and either get stronger or fall apart.All depends on the foundation.

Hahaha! Nice title of the video. I predict 100k views. We all know what happens to men several times during sleep. I think the holding is so the Filipina knows when her man is "ready" and can take advantage of the opportunity! Lol!

I think privacy is important in all cultures even when married we all need some along time too get away it’s not mean it’s just you time so you don’t feel trapped. When I dated this girl I encourage her to go out with friends or asked her if she needed some time to relax. She wanted to read one day so I left my house for a few hours and hung out with my friends and she actually enjoyed her alone time.

Hey There - my wife who was born and raised in California always held the lumber while I slumbered lol I’ve experienced that with other women in multiple countries so it must be something other than a cultural thing. Besides it’s not like it’s something they learn from other women in whatever place they live lol. It’s something inside them not something learned externally. Since I never asked why she did it, and I really didn’t care why lol I simply enjoyed it lol. If your woman likes to hold the lumber it obviously means she’s not mad at you or losing interest in you so just enjoy it lol. Most men spend their entire lives trying to get a woman to hold their lumber lol.
