FYI, "KRL" is Indonesian term for "Electric Train / Electric Multiple Unit", trains that use electricity as power source. it's technical term not the brand/system's name. The system itself called Commuter Line.

I only paid 4000 from Kota to bekasi... Funny thing is I consider KRL is more effective than MRT in terms of moving people. What PNR need is electrification.. I think they need to prioritise that over adding MRT/LRT

KRL and MRT have different role though, KRL is suburban rail functions mainly for bringing people from the outskirts (Bekasi, Tangerang, Bogor, etc.) into Jakarta while MRT is for transport within Jakarta urban area, MRT should be compared with Transjakarta BRT as urban rapid transit system in my opinion since MRT and Transjakarta have overlapping role and market

if we're talking about Jakarta's public rail transport, then KRL and MRT are complemented each other. Actually both are (mass) rapid transit. Go check Tokyo Metro. the whole network of tokyo commuter lines are all MRTs. there's no such a term of "electrify train" (or so called KRL) in their commuter network. Everything's MRT and electric powered. No need for them to differentiate the terms. and u know what.... Jakarta's KRL coaches were used to be MRTs in Tokyo Metro

12:50 That's Manggarai Sentral, slated to be the biggest railway station in Jakarta (Indonesia maybe) with around 19 platforms (I forget the exact number). It will be operational in 2020 and there is a plan to extend the HSR track from Halim station to Manggarai Sentral (underground station, possibly 2 or 4 platforms) to Gambir (underground station, usually 4 platforms) in the future. LRT Jakarta from Kelapa Gading is planned to pass by in front of the station (elevated station). Plus it serves the airport train bound for SHIA from Bekasi station. I wonder if all these plans are materialized in 2024 than Manggarai Sentral will be second to Bang Sue Bangkok and beating KL Sentral in Kuala Lumpur (I think 15 platforms).

Oh yea, travel tips in indonesia for spicyness chilli level. Theres 4 chilli spicyness level. 1. Green chilli (cabe hijau-indonesia) The most less spicy and have unique flavor 2. The end point of the east greater jakarta (blue line) is Cikarang station. about 4 more stations from Bekasi station. The blue line has 2 destinations, jakarta-bekasi and jakarta-cikarang, and both are on the same track.

Good vlog First coach/carriage and last coach/carriage in CL/KRL are for women only (and boy toddlers). In MRT, it is the first carriage in rush hour 16-19. Yes, CL/KRL has wonderfully moved people more effectively than MRT simply because of more lines in operation. We only have one MRT line. Also the fare is so cheap so it serves as incentive to leave vehicles at home.
