For the occasional glass bottle i like to use the plastic picnic tap (duo bronco i believe you call it), insert a bottling wand without a stopper and slide a small bung over the bottling wand. it makes for a great little diy counter pressure bottle filler.

Do you leave the carbonation cap on the bottle? Do you need multiple carbonation cap to take a couple of bottles to a friend's house?

What connector did you use to connect the carbonation cap to the gas regulator? I cant find it anywhere and looks super useful to easily disassemble gas tubing.

This is in our staff kitchen area. Sorry about the mess. I would not say our staff are great at cleaning up after themselves but they are excellent at other things.

Yes they are so cheap these days I just leave them ontop of the bottle.

Did I see that right? Your 3/8 disconnect fittings are 9.8mm? Didn't these used to be 9.5mm? Or are they just that size to fit 9.5mm beer line?

3/8" when converted to metric is 9.53mm. So we just say they are 9.5mm. The tolerance on these is +/- 0.1mm

Yeah I know the PET bottles do not look as nice as a growler but they practically are a lot easier. For growlers you really have to use something like this: kegland.com.au/products/nukatap-counter-pressure-bottle-filler

Yes if you want to be more "gas efficient" then I would recommend filling the bottle with water then pushing the water out with the CO2 as this is less wasteful but its a bit more stuffing around.

I think what he meant is, you didn't purge the beer line.

Yeah I think it'd be as easy to have a dummy PET bottle to fill the line with beer before actually filling up the bottles. I'm not sure I like keeping a line in the bottle the whole time submerged in beer. I guess it's no difference then beer sitting in a line.
