I have the Cameo 2 and the Designer+, I had to go to the top of my screen and click on the little icon that looks like a pentagon with dots in it to get my sketch options and the scale option is on top also. Just an FYI for those who are like me and were wondering where all these wonderful options were for my machine. By the way - this is a wonderful tutorial, I followed along on my Silhouette while you were doing the steps and it looks AWESOME!! Thank you so much!!!

Wow I was getting really discouraged that foiling the way I wanted (which was filling in thick font) wasn't going to happen. But I see now that I can!! Thank you soo much!!!

This was a great tutorial. I have had my Silhouette Cameo for years, but have never used most of the features it has!!! You opened my eyes!! What are the send settings for something this detailed? How long did it take to fill?? Thank you .
@librarymarna4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. Once a teacher, always a teacher :) It does take quite a bit of time to fill when it is this dense. I would try it on 300% instead of 500% to see if you like it just as much. Remember each new version of Silhouette Studio changes some of the choices in the different panels. I hope this works for you.

How do you cut the design after removing the foil? I cannot seem to realign it correctly, it’s always off a little. Do you have any suggestions?
@librarymarna5 жыл бұрын
brandtno6 if you want to cut out the design after it has been foiled, I would initially add registration marks with my printer and then proceed with the foiling and then cutting. This illustration was for the front of a card where I cut out a rectangle surrounding the object that was filled. I hope this helps.

Hi there, thanks so much for making this, however I am having quite an issue when trying to replicate the steps. Basically the Studio software grinds to a halt and the one time I managed to get it to send to my machine it said it was going to take 97 minutes! Any ideas what I'm doing wrong please?

When I use this to fill a double line of a design, my Silhouette thinks these are all little dots. Instead of making a smooth line he is just printing dots. What am I doing wrong?

Is this tutorial for beginners or for those who have the advanced program? I just want to know HOW TO FILL MY LETTERS so I get a solid look by foiling. And not a deep dive into how to "blah blah blah" Sorry but when this pop up as a number one video for my search, I get frustrated. I've looked throgh a lot of video and NO ONE is giving me a straight answer! A final result would help very much. In this video, not another.
@librarymarna4 жыл бұрын
You must have Designer Edition or higher to fill your objects or letters that have been turned into objects. Let me put something together for you that might answer your question and I will get back to you. You just want to fill letters, correct?
