"loose" style drawings are a VIBE. i like to watch your videos for inspiration on how to loosen up with my art and not make images that are flat and boring. the way you build each drawing up with so many "messy" layers somehow always comes together as a whole to create a finished look. leveling up is great, but don't lose your magic along the way!!

I know you love to draw animals the most, but I absolutely love your human characters. They have a cozy vibe that makes me want to know more about them or have some kind of story or game with them as characters.

I often randomly swatch colors and do a lot of doodling in my sketchbooks. I often go back and color them and tweak them a little like you did in yours. I can never practice washes enough! Also, I purposefully do random, abstract full page washes, sometimes with loose shapes or patterns layered. I come back later and add more patterns or subjects on top of them. ❤

I just learned what a weevil was a couple days ago and thought they were so derpy and cute, I think a weevil print would be adorable

one fun way of using references is to take the image and mentally flip it, so you still have the reference to refer to but your brain has to imagine/translate more
