Take up screw was new to me and interesting to learn about. Its always enjoyable to go through a collection weather big or small.

I appreciate it Brett!! It's definitely fun to go through everything and sometimes stumble across Ines I've forgotten about a bit haha. The take up screws are a super neat idea. I believe plumb used them in their hammers and other handled tools also!

Thanks man! I was super excited when I came across it in the antique shop. Eventually I'd like to pick up one of the similar council tool versions and do a comparison.

Thanks man! I really like how it came out also. I black sheath would be a very nice pairing with it. I'll definitely try that finish again on another build!

I appreciate it Mike! I do have a unstamped Kentucky pattern with eye ridges that I want to hang at some point. I go back and forth over if I think it would look best on a straight or curved handle. What style are you thinking for yours?

My lord, your collection makes me drool! Love the plumb Connie’s. I have a square logo one with a star imprint in the back. I never get much info when I search online but I’ve seen the triangle, star and four leaf clover imprint. Any idea what it means?

Thanks Mike!! I truly appreciate it. I've heard a few different theories about the different shape touch marks. One was that it signified different plants of manufacturing. Another said it was for export to different countries. And the last being it signified different levels of quality back in the day. I have not found and kind of documentation to support any of them though. If you do definitely let me know!!!

Well worth the watch. I love these kinds of collection videos I’ve considered doing one myself. Love seeing what other people have. How many axes do you have total ?
@Nsvens89
@Nsvens89 3 ай бұрын
Much appreciated man!!! I'm actually out in the shop puttering around now so I counted. Looks like 63 hung axes and 60 loose heads. I probably missed a few hiding somewhere I've forgotten about but that's a pretty accurate. You definitely should make a collection video! I'd love to see. I've still got that loose head if you've still got your eye on it 👍

I'm a sucker for rockaways too. It might be my favorite pattern. That's one of the nice things about this geographic area is I seem to come across a decent mix of patterns. I'll keep an eye out for any good ebay deals on them and shoot you a link!
