Just saw this. Thanks so much. Your words of encouragement don't be scared helped. Like so many things in life, they look difficult or danger until you get the hang of it. Thanks again

Thank you so much for explaining how to transfer LP from a portable LP tank to a RV’s LP tank. And I thank you for showing exactly what the hook up tee looks like on the RV…

Appreciate the helpful video, I’m parked full time now so this will come in handy for the winter months instead of constantly swapping those portable 15ib ones. I have the exact same layout (before I remodeled) in my 34ft 88 Holiday Rambler 😊 FYI if you don’t already know by now but your Hydro Flame propane heater uses 12v dc for fan and igniter not 120v AC at all.

Thank you for that info. I seem to learn something new with this motorhome every day.🔧👍

This is a better way to fill a on board tank. I've been filling my tanks for years but not so simple. The monotony of taking the main hose off and attaching a hard line to fill from small tanks. I think I need to update my system. Thanks for your video.

Wow thanks for the info I was wondering if I could do that

Thank you so much for the information. I just got my first motorhome and I am now living full time in it so I’m trying to learn to do as much as I can myself so to not just save money but in case I need to do something myself in any situation!! I am was looking into hooking mr buddy heater to my current propane line that used to go to my rv heater that is the one thing in my rv that is non functional and I would not use it as full time anyhow. Winter is settling in fast and I need a quick fix until I am able to do something more permanent. I am wondering if you might do a video on something pertaining to that for us?? Thank you 😊

Thank you. I got lucky and found one that someone kept it in a warehouse when not in use. 🔧

Just stumbled upon this, and really appreciate these videos. Was wondering about installing a ball valve before the regulator to isolate it during the liquid refill process? And basically, I could take say a #40 portable tank, flip it upside down, open the bleed valve slightly on the inboard tank to check for liquid indicating 80% capacity, then open the valves to fill. Thanks again.

That sounds like a good idea. This summer I was wanting to reconfigure it a bit so my rubber line wasn't bending so sharply . 🔧

You said you can use any tank to refill the motorhome tank… I wanna make sure I understand lol because my head is saying Wa? 😂 I can use a 20lb tank to refill my Rv tank. Am I right? 😊
@MotorhomeGearhead Жыл бұрын
Yep. Any tank. When you fill it just know you have to fill with liquid 💦. So turn the tank your using upside down. And let her rip.

Hey man thank you very much for your video it really explained a lot however I do have one question for you I haven't 89 honey Harvey and I have a gastric somewhere underneath my RV which is where my tank is located under the RV Long cylinder type how do I find my from there basically the same process or is there something different ? thank you for taking the time to answer me my friend
@MotorhomeGearhead2 жыл бұрын
It should be right next to the Regulator. if you look underneath behind the tank it may be there before it inters the RV. I've never seen one inside. Very close to the tank. 👍

I know it's been awhile since you made this video. Do you have a parts list? I got blocked in at a camp ground. There's a camping world by me so I hope I can get the parts there.
@MotorhomeGearhead2 жыл бұрын
It's just an (extend a stay) hose . They will know what to give you. And mount it between your Onboard tank and the regulator. You always want a regulator between the tank and your inside appliances. 👍

But on the industrial tank are you hooked into the liquid or the vapor attachment on the top of the industrial tank it says liquid and it says vapor and there's 2 ways to hook into it which one do I hook on to fill my tank
@MotorhomeGearhead2 жыл бұрын
My industrial tank I switched the two spots where it says liquid and fill. The valve fits either side. I did this when it was empty. Any tank you use you want to fill it upside down so liquid goes in the onboard tank. The vent you open on your Onboard Tank just to see if it's at the full mark. When liquid comes out of that then your plenty full 👍
@MotorhomeGearhead2 жыл бұрын
Hay there Gabriel.👋 I hope I was alittle clearer on my answer last time, those tanks have a pickup tube built in the tank. On the ( Liquid) side. When the tank is empty or new you can take a big crescent wrench 🔧 and take off both sides and switch them. You can even have the company that fills and makes hoses do that swop. I've also had that done and have them make hoses to for me. So if your Forklift tank has propane in it you can have it upright and have it connected to the liquid side and it will fill it. THEN to Finnish the tank off to empty you have it UPSIDE down. Then after it's empty you can have the valves switched.

So did you happen to add an extra adapter or something
@MotorhomeGearhead Жыл бұрын
No adapter. It fits on there like you normally use it but you have it upside down so the liquid part of the propane fills the ON board tank. 🔧

How many gallons does main tank hold?
@MotorhomeGearhead4 жыл бұрын
My main tank holds 20 gallons but there is room for a bigger one if I were to replace it I would get the 24 gallon one than some of the larger coach's have.
@michaelpark53664 жыл бұрын
@@MotorhomeGearhead appreciate for the info. I assume 20 gallon lasts quite long if the furnace isn’t used in warm weather?
@MotorhomeGearhead4 жыл бұрын
It does last depending on what's used. If you only use it for your fridge and occasionally the eyes on the stove for cooking it will last a month or 2. The furnace and oven are gas HOGS 🐷

Very dangerous. I am certified and do this for a living. Only thing that i will say is use the bleed on the house tank to purge more air off so the liquid/ gas pressure will bleed more. Just becareful and fyi, put a disclaimer on this video so IF something goes wrong while a person decides to do this, you wont get sued.

Like your video but ABSOLUTELY HATE YOUR INTRO! That was a very unfortunate thing to have happened to you n that poor deer and I think it was better left unseen. Now I can’t unsee it 💔. 😢Sorry to go all “Karen” on you but I want to see your other videos but I can’t stomach the intro and I’m not fast enough to fast forward cuz immediately it starts there! Grrr anyways I’m glad you show it get up n all was well but come on man… really? I bet you could make a more excellent intro n a lot more people would come benefit from your vast knowledge… again let me say I like the rest of your video n learned some stuff so really want to thank you for that❤️🙏😍

I totally understand, I posted that without thinking but I learned not to have anything like that on any other videos 👍
