I celebrate Vantober every year for Van Damme’s birthday! I watch everything he was in all within the 31 days of October! Shawtember is relatively new to me but I’m enjoying it! I recommend Lady of Steel, Ambush and Village of Tigers for anyone who has not seen those movies! Those are underrated!

Thanks for the shoutout Brother! Though for the record, I was totally fine with Mercenaries from HK being on volume 2, it was Boxer’s Omen I think should have been swapped out for Hong Kong Godfather. Would have much rather seen 88 films get Boxer’s Omen, they already put out Bewitched and Hex, Omen would have fitted better into their lineup. Great video though dude ❤️

Great list! Of these 5 movies I only knew about Hong Kong Godfather and Men From The Gutter which I really only know about because of your channel. Godfather of Canton is new to me but sounds like an exact opposite of Jackie Chan’s Canton Godfather. I love the titles for these types of movies! Great list and great video!

Hong Kong Godfather has a fantastic ending, but I want to rewatch the whole film because I found it to be lacking. I’m sure if I rewatch it I’ll enjoy it. I wish my fave Shaw Bros The Duel would be on the list, I love the fuck out of that film and wish it got more love. Solid list and Godfather from Canton and Men from the Gutter look appealing since I like modernish style Shaw. Bells of Death I hear is also solid, and if Judgement of Assassins in your top five, then I have to see it. Spekaing of Sun Chung, I recommend highly Avenging Eagle.

Have you ever seen Demon of the Lute? I'm new to Shaw Brothers and mostly interested in starting with wuxia/fantasy or tokusatsu adjacent stuff and that one seemed like good choice for that-I got dvd for it but still haven't watched it
