Have made my own simple edits with uncapped boost and reasonable "modified" engine internals, runs pretty well. I dont recall the times but think it made around the same torque and hp.

you want to shift after the peak though, otherwise all you're getting is a worse gear ratio, and starting before power starts. The problem here was beamng weird control back end that I didn't understand

Fill, You need to increase the torque converter diameter. You are blowing thru it with all the torque and increasing the stiffness only goes so far. That value is more for fine tuning. Turn the 0.5 value into a variable and set the initial value to something like 0.65 or 0.7

In the transmission file, the “gearchangedelay” indicates the number of seconds delay minimum between gear shifts for automatic transmissions, so make it short enough that it changes when you want, but not too short where it shifts up and down too much

Also for the torque converter, the only value really needed to be changed is the diameter, a larger diameter results in the engine speed being closer to wheel speed

@fillman86, great video, but you want the torque converter to stall at a lower rpm so you need to increase the diameter. The value 0.5 should be increased to like 0.7 or thereabouts. Better yet would be to make it a variable you can tune

at 23:00 ish second gear isnt too short, its the torque converter that is set to lock up at im assuming 3rd gear... if you notice your gaining speed in second while your rpm is staying the same so its just slipping, also when you change to 3rd instantly it pushes you back to second because your not going fast enough for 3rd

One question: why not dual axles for extra rear drag wheels and tires? And all are connected to the engine. Asif. you just took a stock dual axle truck, gave it a drag engine and some bigndrag slicks and nothing else.

HI dude. Been watching your videos for some time and observed this: you need to add more power to higher RPMs. At this build at 2k RPM you had around 3k HP but at 3k RPM you have 1.5k HP, that half, try to minimise the drop of HP or make it linear or always uprising. A suggestion from old modder of NFS MW, GTA SA and IV, LFS, and others.

Also for a tuning of gear box, try to have a drop between of gears of 600 RPM in low RPM engines, 1000 RPM for 3k to 6k RPM engines, 1.5k RPM drop for 6k to 8/9K RPM and 2000 rpm drop for a 8k+ rpm engines.

that's not how giant diesels work lol they're designed to run at the lowest RPM so they can have chunky parts (if they run fast, they pull themselves apart, and if they're small, they can't take the torque). I could have faked it easily, but I like "what if" instead of "wow lololol look at what I can't do" as for gearbox tuning, unfortunately it is counted on gear ratios, not via rpm, so there's either lots of maths, or in my case... guess work

@fillman86 thank you for your reply. I see your ideology here. Mine differs from yours to side for more racing type and try to squeeze more power and more efficient for a determined application. That why I suggested to you to get a linear power from 2k to 3k rpm (with a minimum drop), yes I know that big diesel for a standard street usage have around 2k rpm max power (for fuel economy and torque), but for a special and tuner usage like this, we try to get as more power for more time during more rpms range as possible.

It looks like to me in first and second gear your torque converter slips too much and doesn't lock up until third. Make it lock up sooner you definitely have the power to pull thru it without bogging down the engine. And if it does just add more power.

twin charging isn't that rare irl. There's a few different ways of doing it, and you never want to have them in line with each other, because in top RPM the supercharger will always limit it
