We had a discussion just like this in English class today and it's amazing how often the same movies are brought up...T2, Aliens, Godfather 2...same ones all the time, it makes you wonder if people even have their own legitimate opinion on the topic.

It’s honestly exception to the rule, sequels tend to be worse than originals. Out of many movies only few sequels are the exception

Sean McGrath randy is wrong here too. It may be planned , but it's still a sequel . Just like the force awakens is a sequel to Jedi . They are in sequence . To quote the great man " this is film class right ?"

The line in Aliens is "Get away from her, you bitch." So, yes, in the movie Randy Meeks is wrong. However, it was scripted that Joshua Jackson was supposed to say, "Stay away from her, you bitch," and Randy would correct him. When Joshua Jackson said the line right (instead of wrong, like in the script), Jamie Kennedy (Randy Meeks) switched the lines to keep the flow of the scene going. Why Director Wes Craven kept this take is unknown. From IMDb.

The girl who called Randy Mr Originality, sounded as if she had a crush on Randy, I wonder if she wanted to spend time with him after class? She could have been his girlfriend in the film

He kept it, cuz, Randy now tells Joshua, not the character what the line he was supposed to say was, Makin the more meta than was scripted which fits scream.

I'm so curious to why when randy goes to correct JJ in this scene he does so with the incorrect line and JJ does say the correct line. Did they do that on purpose?? Did they do that by accident?? Did they do it on accident then liked how it fit in with him dying later on cuz Mickey is in the class and must have heard the incorrect line and he kills Randy in the van?? I think it's the last one there but I really don't know.

Jamie Kennedy is breaking character and correcting Joshua Jackson the actor making it more meta than intended so West left it in cuz it fits the meta that is the scream movie series.

they were actually after gale. it was her phone, her van. but randy called billy a rat-faced, homo-repressed mama’s boy and debbie killed him because she can’t face the fact that her son was a brutal murderer.

If they were honest they'd say Godfather 2 inferior to Godfather...the parts with Miami are pretty bad...only really good parts in that movie are the flashbacks with Vito making his name. The first Godfather is way better than Godfather 2.

rushdi34 I think so too. I also think terminator is better than t2, but I do think aliens is better than alien . However I prefer empire to a new hope. And scream 2 to scream incidentally
