Great video! Just as a little note, asthma can come in different forms. You can totally have problems breathing and require an inhaler to breath normally again, but still be able to walk down stairs (up might be another topic) and wait a while until you take it. It's super unpleasant and scary, but doable.

Adam's personal hell in my headcanon: He first notice the fourth wall and realise he is a role more than a human being and is subjected to an existential crisis. Then he realise how much the movie he's in sucks, so he tries to leave it early by killing himself in the opening scene, but ends up damned to be constantly referenced in flashbacks and records of "Adam was right" through the rest of the movie anyway.

I know that you cut a lot out, and maybe that's helping it, but from what you showed Lance Henriksen looked awesome and, well, I found Allison adorable. One would think they would use some of the ideas from the Hellraiser comics, all of them could easily be turned into a shortfilm or longer project with proper work. But no... Instead the franchise has turned into the franchise they throw any and all scripts that have nothing to do with Hellraiser in the first place into, just to use them..... "facedesk"

The first one is kinda interesting, imo. Lots of ethical questions and things to think about.. (albeit some acting is cringy). The second one is a typical 90s/00s step in the wrong direction (matrix sequels style) and the third one trriiiiiiiis to provide a backstory, but is not as dumb as the second one, imo. And thanks for reviewing movies anyway, always nice & fun to watch!! :)

In retrospect, it is kinda funny. While Hellraiser did take noticable downgrades during it's lifespan, it was never as linear as people said. Everyone would tell me that the first 4 were great and the rest is dogshit, but after a handful of viewings after this series introduced me to Hellraiser, that's not entirely true. The first 2 are fantastic, 3 was super lame, 4 was a hilarious mess, 5 was competent, but kinda boring imo, 6 was a better 5 to me and 7 had some really fun ideas at play at least. This though... yeah, it lives up to that reputation. Like, this is low-rent slasher-trash. Like "not good enough for Halloween sequels" tier crap. One of those bottom of the barrel "Clever" horror movies from the post-Scream era. It's weird to say this movie was a disappointment, but Hellraiser wasn't quite a Friday the 13th or Elm's Street. It had momentum this far into it's life and the story-engine is ripe for re-invention and expanding, as the numerous sequels proved with how they've effectively went through 3 formulas in it's lifespan. To see it just devolve to... this is more shocking than I ever thought it'd be.

Why did they change it from lament configuration to Lamont configuration? Lament means a passionate expression of sorrow or grief, so is very fitting for an object that summons cenobites. Lamont is french for mountain...I guess Leviathan was kinda mountain-ish... Well it's kinda impressive it took them 8 movies to turn to garbage.

I just figured out: Everytime Pinnhead calls somebody by Name, it just sucked the Menace out of him. In the First 4 Movies he calls most of the Poeple "Child" "Girl" oder "toymaker" or something, very Rare by the Name. Hear Doug Bradley say "Jake" is so distracting

I did watch even the 2 new Hellraiser movies, but Hellworld is the worst of all of them, including the new ones. Of course, the new ones are lacking Doug Bradley. He is Pinhead, others can't really be that character. Either way, Hellworld had the worst story, made no sense at all, has no connect to any other Hellraiser movies. Kinda looks like an independent script that later got embedded Pinhead and a few more Hellraiser references in it. :-S
