Tip for younger people that's not so obvious these days. If you're catching a flight with your film cameras do not let any film new or used go through the security x-ray machine. The x-rays expose the film and will ruin your photos or any new film you are carrying. Let security know about your film, and do not pack it in your stow away baggage either as those bags get x-rayed too. It's also best to not have any film in the camera as security may insist the camera needs to be x-rayed, so only load film after your flight, and use it all up before coming back. Airports used to have lots of warnings to remind people, but these days not many do.

I’d say go for disposable for people that just want try Go for point and shoots for those that just want to do exactly that, which is to point and shoot. It’s a step up form disposables And go for the SLRs and rangefinders, if you really want to learn photography. Or if you just wanna get a bit more serious, since point and shoots have very little level of control.

For your polaroid, you are using the wrong film, the SX-70 film is for the SX-70 camera, so that's probably why it ain't working out, the Polaroid OneStep typically uses I-Type or 600 film, and the Polaroid 600 or the closeups use 600 film

Negative is an inverted image on the film of what you the final image like like. When light is exposed onto the film, it basically burns the image into the tiny grain on the acutely film reel. The film is then placed in a chemical that washes away the “unburnt” grains. This gives you a negative, everything on a negative is inverted, so whites are black, blacks are white, cyans ante magenta and so on. A negative is them scanned with a professional scanner and it inverts the colours and light values to give you the final result. B&W film can be developed by hand in a “dark tank” dark rooms don’t really exist anymore outside of camera houses. Colour film cns be developed by yourself buts it’s extremely complicated
