Still can't believe the Bears were gonna take this guy at #1, traded back to 9, still had a chance to take him at 9, then trade the #9 pick to the team that took him for a 4th rounder in next years draft which is gonna end up being a very late 4th round pick. If hes this good now, hes gonna be an absolute terror for years.

@@kevo1441what the hell y'all talking about the Bears got Darnell Wright & Gervon Dexter basically for swapping Carter if this guy was to break those guys first game tape down You'll see it was worth it. Guaranteed by the end of the year both of those rookies will be on the all-rookie team Darnell Wright had like three pancakes against a strong defensive line of Green Bay and Big Dex was getting in the backfield, against a very solid offensive line , but you won't know none of this because the Bears lost unlike the Eagles. Also all I heard was you bear fans complaining about getting Justin fields some protection now because Carter had one solid game y'all going to lose your mind without even watching The film tape of your own players. Poles basically got a 2 for 1 RT & DT. I love Carter and he has all the potential in the world hopefully he will be a great player, but don't sleep on what the Bears got in this draft at 2 key position, it's also funny how eight other teams passed on Carter and you guys are focusing on the Bears. I'll bet any type of money that when the Bears win their first game he'll probably be here breaking down either of those players that I mentioned because he was also high on those players coming out of the draft.

@Rudipu
@Rudipu Жыл бұрын
@@sophisticatedthoughts...1638 We'll see man, Wright was solid last game and was very good in college, he very well could be the best RT the Bears had in a long time. Carter was the most dominant player on the one of the best defenses in recent memory in college. Carter is the kind of guy that can instantly transform a defense and is exactly what you are looking for in a top 10 pick. The only reason the Bears and other teams didn't take him was some PR stuff everyone stopped caring about an hour after he went off the board. Time will only tell on all of em. If Carter and Wright both live up to their potential and play like they did as the best players in their positions in college, I would want carter 100/100 times. Dexter has nothing to do with the trade btw, Eagles traded the 4th round pick in the upcoming draft to move up to 9. Dexter was from trading the #1 pick to the panthers which was absolutely the right move. A first next year, x2 2nds, and DJ Moore to move down 8 spots is 100% worth. My whole thing is they could've gotten Carter on top of it all, but instead went with Wright and whoever the late 4th ends up being next year.

Carter would've had at least 4-5 sacks if the DBs weren't playing so far off. I believe if the Eagles played more press man to buy the DLine a second or two longer, it would've paid dividends; especially bc the Pats have no star receivers.

Jalen Carter was looking dominant on the field, you definitely could notice when he was in the game. The gameplan for NE was to throw quick because they knew they couldn't protect Mac longer than those 2.5 seconds. But that's because of how dominant this line can be and the disruptive play of Carter and the rest of the boys, they shut the run down which was something we sucked at last year. Also want to shout out Milton Williams as well he had a really good game and that DT rotation is looking so good so far for the Eagles.

Yeah and with that kind of defensive line we need to press and not give them any space at the snap. That was the problem in this game. And I think the rain impacted our offense since they were already not in form since they haven’t played a single game since the bowl. Hopefully it’s better on Thursday.

He had a MCL sprain and missed games and had a high ankle sprain first game of the season last year at Georgia. He couldn’t practice or do much conditioning for most of, if not all of last season. He still could’ve had work ethic issues at times but that’s also things to take into consideration….especially since he could’ve just decided to sit out and wait on the draft but decided to come back from both injuries and help his team win another National title

Great content. Carter will be a great player, but it is worth noting that both guards in this game were second string, which is probably the main reason for the constant help to Carter. Whats most suprising is Reddick's inability to break 1v1s against a third string right tackle. He should be running right by him. Concerning.

The craziest thing about this breakdown is how awful the eagles coverage was. It was obvious that New England had the game plan to go 1 and 3 step drops all game and get rid of the ball. If eagles would just play closer and tighter coverage and make mac hold the ball just a half second later, the game would’ve been much different. The Eagles D line was dominant in the game and the stats/results didn’t show it. Bad game plan by the eagles imo

Yeah and this was his first career game, he didn’t only go up against that guy and what do you think there is a pro bowl guard on every team? Only a clown would act like that wasn’t a great performance in a players first game, without even playing much of the preseason but maybe 15 snaps. He also wasn’t going up against him the whole time, they were plays. He beat the left tackle, left guard and center. It’s not like everybody’s getting ready for canton but he was going to be the number one pick in the draft so it’s not like this is all out of nowhere.

@11:46 Milton Williams has to win there. That separates average from good players being real. Him winning there prevents the touchdown because it moves Mac Jones from his spot

Lbs/safeties a lot of those quick passes were short into the middle. Prob gonna see a lot of that this year as teams will try to exploit the lb/safeties.

Honestly I think it was more a fault of the coaching. The DBs shouldn't be playing zone 5-10 yards back when Carter is constantly beating his man in next to no time. If they were in press man then things would have been lot better. I don't see why they didn't make that adjustment. If anyone Bradberry isn't the best M2M corner but still with Slay and Maddox and Saftey help they should have been dominating (atleast when Carter was on the field) hopefully the coaches recognize this and apply it to next week. The Pat's were doing good because of their 2-3 step drop back pass plays I dont see why we didn't try and take that away but what do I know these guys do this for a living. Hopefully I'm just oblivious to the fine details and it isn't that simple.

@@Stephen_Viele Finally someone talking some sense about that half-ass zone defence and 5-8+ yards separation from line of scrimmage on receivers. Whats the point of having a dominate dline and edge rushers if our coverage is soft sitting back? Kind of wasting 10's of millions of $$ at that point...
@robertorodriguez484

Comes off as very Gannonesque. Aggressive defense isn't simply blitzes. Get infront of your guy and disrupt the timing of routes, so the Dline can eat. Everything was quick throws with the pats.

@@robertorodriguez484 I came to the conclusion that it’s the type of defense that sirianni wants, soft zone no disguises jus regular degular smh. Hopefully they tighten up

then how did eagles defense allow pats to stay in this game and go down in very few plays and score touchdown late in game. Mmm 😒. d cordinator isnt what we thought he was. Plenty of gaps in oline to get sack on qb yet all line backers were playing soft zone. Garbage game plan.

Very smart game plan..... Phila plays w/ a defined philosophy & they stick to it & it makes them Very hard to catch once they get a lead..... Hurts & that O-line are so poised & dont make many mistakes - this puts pressure on the opposing Offense - but Phila won't give up any big plays - they sit there CB's & Safety deep - give up yds underneath to make the other team run 12+ play drives to score betting their elite D-Line will kill your QB ot force a Turn Over..... I know it can be frustrating as a fan b/c you want them to tee off - but that was a GREAT win by Phila over a Very well coached Off & Def Patriots in terrible weather on the road.......
