KOC's value is intangible, you cannot trade someone like that. He's worth more than any amount of first round picks. He's not just "the guy for QBs", he's "The Man" when it comes to QBs. It's a title, it's capitalized, he's the one that QBs want to go to, agents are trying to get QBs to Minnesota. Pay him whatever he wants, you cannot put a price on that.

Vikings have turned a positive page in the outlook/future of this team! How many things have gone unbelievably well since KOC and B'Flo came on board? And we have a GM that does not run the team like a "Tyrant" (Spielman)! He takes direction from the coaches and then goes after those players and makes it happen if possible! Excellent system!

The Addison catch beautiful ball by Sam and the speed of the deep ball doesn't allow the safety to close ....Kirk could be accurate downfield but the speed of Kirk's ball( or most qbs) no where close to Sam's the safety gets a shot to deflect

On the first play I would add that both Addison & we know JJ shake n bake guys so that one corner is struggling to keep up with Addison, no time to look where the pass ID. Good lesson from u 2 on safety position affecting coverage. Would add that normally Sam's ball is so fast that the safety has trouble closing ground. Underthriwn but still some zip

I like the joke in the beginning about how the Vikings are an in patient treatment facility for QB's. There is some truth to it though. I know it probably makes sense to see Sam go elsewhere to get his big payday and I'm happy for him but the Vikings did create value in him that did not exist before he came here and I see no reason that they should not be compensated for that. Sign him to a deal and then trade him. Get something.

Dudes - the franchise tag is only $41m and Kwesi doesn't have to ask. Any deal with the Vikes will be lower than that. Instead of thinking about Sam vs JJ, try simply re-running this year's plan. Sam to start, and JJ to resume the programme that KOC had laid out for him. When JJ is ready to go trade Sam for a haul of draft picks, get the salary cap refund, and use those draft picks to build JJ an even better roster. That's exactly what the Packers did with Rodgers and Love. Do not let Sam walk for nothing - they won't even qualify for a Comp pick. If you believe he will, then frankly you have nfi how the Comp pick formula works.

I do not believe they will hold the team hostage again with an outrageous QB contract!
