Every Day Carry for Set Lighting Technicians. These tools are my workhorses and what I have hand selected to keep on my belt on set every day.

Awesome! I do keep gloves and flashlight in my bag but I don’t grab them first time for every job

When I'm on set (especially cos we do shoots in old buildings a lot) I always have a socket tester in my pocket (yay big pockets). On my last job it proved helpful once again, with 2 sets of sockets showing no earth, and another socket having no neutral. So it meant running cables from further away, but better than risking sensitive electronics or other issues. I also have a bunch of reusable cable ties on my belt for quickly tidying things up or securing bits and pieces. other than that, its much the same, although I'll have a Leatherman "wingman" as my knife since it also has a pliers and scissors while still being relatively small..

That tester is so easy to overlook in that scenario! You would have powered the light up fine and never known it wasn’t grounded and 100% safe

CARHARTT GEAR 482728B WORK POCKET I ordered mine a while ago from Amazon. I just tried to find it again it looks like it’s harder to track down now but there’s a few places online.

Can you link the tools like the screwdrivers ad the wrench please?

Here is the precision screwdriver: Klein Tools 32581 4-in-1 Electronics Screwdriver Set with Precision Machines Bits: 2 Slotted, 2 Phillips, and Cushion Grip Handles, 4-Piece www.amazon.com/dp/B01EOY7LTA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9E05RB12DPV6CTHP52E0 It’s great and gets a lot of use! I actually lost mine and ordered a replacement immediately. The other common size one is just a generic one from Ace Hardware. I can’t find a link. I’ve had it for years and it’s holding up great. I like to keep this tool simple- the multi bit screwdrivers get bulky and I like to keep the slim profile.

Definitely not what I carry but I'm no lighting guy. I would say tho that unless I missed it you don't seem to have a flashlight. Seems kind of odd for a lighting guy lol. But we carry what we need to. I'm guessing you rarely have the use for one. A mini pry bar might be something to consider. If that ever comes up.

Hey Thanks- I’m more of a headlight guy and I do keep one close, on set, in my bag. It’s just not part of the core Everyday Carry accessories. Depending on the day, I’m wearing the headlight or keep a penlight in my pocket.
