Here’s my summary of the video if you can’t watch the full video -Triple Threat & Jabs 0:39 - 8:38 Key Points - Use multiple jabs, slow jabs and fast jabs. Use jabs to clear space/relieve pressure. Use the jabs to move the defense while making a read. Defenders hand are down = high rip -Changing Speeds & Deception 8:39 - 17:28. Key points - Play from Low to High and High to Low. Stop & Go Stutter Step, Stop & Go/Half Spin. Stopping on a Dime & Create Separation. Sink your Body/Get Low to Get Balance (Counter Move: Drive by Defense if They Jump Forward. 13:39 - 15:37). Change speeds with you dribble. -Pull-ups & Mid-Range Scoring 17:28 - 21:43. Key Points - Footwork “Pound 1,2”. Make the Read: If the big is back or retreating, take the jumpshot. Most players think they’re low & balanced, 19:35 clip is low and balanced. Elevate above the Defense, Limit Twisting or Turning on the shot. Always land on 2 feet. -Finishing & Reading Secondary Defenders 21:46 - 25:42. Key Points - 3 moves against rim protectors 1. Bump and Finish 2. Euro Step/Step Around 3. Short Pull-up/Floater/Runner. 2 foot inside hand layup separate from Defense by changing speeds (24:51). Inside Hand Reverse Layup: 1. Seal off Defender 2. Extend Away From Defender (25:12) -Body & Driving Angles 25:42. Key Points - Shoulder to Defenders Hip “Ball - Body - Defender” . Long Lunge & Explode off Back Foot (27:39). Drive in as straight of a line as possible (not curved driving line).

I'm not even a point guard and this is helpful, thank you so much for breaking this stuff down. Extremely good stuff, I feel like my footwork has improved without even practicing this 😂
@bignardo956 ай бұрын
Kyrie has the unique ability that Kobe had. An internal penchant for instant geometry. They can exploit the stances, angles, and balance of defenders. A very rare quality that 99.9% of PGs will never possess, no matter how much they watch these videos. Most will have to just depend on what they've always depended on. Constant practice, play, and repetition. Kyrie is one of one. Very inspirational though.

Love the point you bring up about the ANGLES he plays at. Underrated aspect for sure.

@coachnatehartman perfect other example? The impeccable footwork of Hakeem Olajuwon. And he trains nba ballers. They get better, but they will never be like, "The Dream!"

@dkceniceros68183 жыл бұрын
I like the stop and go break down. I saw the emphasis of it. As well as the sinking body. That’ll be helpful since I am a quick player so if I can sell it good the defender will continue to stutter back, enough time for me to shoot. Another thing was to Get shoulder to hip and explode (stay low) and don’t curve my route too much

That’s crazy for how good kyrie is on Offense I have a feeling he could be a lockdown defender if wanted to cuz it’s like dude already knows what the defense is going to do for example the screen play on Reggie Jackson @3:30 he knows that he beat Reggie off the screen so now Reggie is going to try to recover he just trusts his instincts and goes exactly where Reggie hackson is coming from wow dude dies that every single play night game whatever dudes real special

@ODSKhari2 жыл бұрын
the think that makes Kyrie different and so shifty, obviously is his deep bag and knowledge of the game. His bag consists of low dribbles, changing speeds and height, and so many more things, but so many players try hitting these positions and they end up injured or not hitting these moves effectively because of their inability to get in AND out of these positions explosively. the key thing to focus on is your ankle mobility and stability, as well as your knee strength, and also your hips. Trying his moves while being a very stiff player is gonna lead you nowhere. If you're gonna try modeling your game after Ky, make sure you focus on strengthening your ankles, knees, and hips to make sure they're stable, mobile, and explosive, especially when you're not playing, so you won't get injured or look like Dirk tryna dribble the ball.
