"More positives than negatives" is my feel about Fields as well. And as a Raiders fan and looking at other dumpster fires like the Cowboys I have to say that is a lot better than what much of the NFL has. If I had to pick "Do I want Dak Prescott or Justin Fields as my starting QB" I am picking Fields.

Had his worst passing game yesterday, especially a stretch where he missed 3 straight open guys, not to mention the int called back and the backwards pass fumble. He made up for it a bit with his running ability but by no means did he play well.

This game made one thing very clear and that is we need to go to Russell Wilson. I'm all for designed runs/options for fields within the 10 yard line but other than that he has proven that he isn't very good in the passing game. The Steelers had everything go their way in this game. The Raiders handed the Steelers the game because of stupid penalties and not challenging the spot on a potential TD. I wouldn't be happy with this performance if I were the Steelers

@@mc1993the bears were a bad team, with a bad coach, and he had 3 different coaches in those 3 years. They literally changed the entire offense for Caleb Williams. It’s hard to actually progress in that environment, in 6 weeks he has improved more than in the past few years tbh, so yes, there is definitely room to grow, especially when they get another receiver and the O line gets healthier

@@D3structive It's not "hate", it's an honest take on Fields. Because he's a below average QB as a pocket passer. He's pretty good passing while on the run, but you can't game plan for that. He actually isn't a double threat at all because he is always a risk passing the ball. For example, without that roughing call on LV, he throws a blatant INT, and he never runs the ball in for a TD on 4th and 1. He does more with his feet than he ever does as a passer, so they should really consider making him a RB. Otherwise, he's essentially a Wildcat formation for the entire game.

Opponent can absolutely game plan against Fields (aka running QB) Bill Belichick created the Kordell Stewart Defense. Run blitz contain on way to QB, saturate short field and make inaccurate, poor decision making QB beat you with his arm. Justin Fields is Kordell v2.0. Besides, ever watch us vs the Ravens...yeah, game planning is on the table.

Man that’s offensive line is bad at times. Constant pressure it leaks from all angles. The line does not know who to pick up. That is coaching. I think Fields is feeling the pressure of Wilson being healthy. Steeler offense is a mess.

Justin should remain QB1. Pickens is just another version of Darnell Mooney. A good player but not a #1. He could be a great number 2 option. The O Line still is a work in progress. Unlike some bone heads in these comments. The defense was solid but not spectacular. They made some bad plays as well. Point is it takes all 3 to work "well" when not 1 phase is dominant. And that's wya happened with this game. All phases complimented each other well enough to get the win. JF = QB1

Wilson needs to start. They'd have been lightyears further a head with Rudolph. Fields actually hurts the run game because they don't respect the pass. It makes it 2x harder to run. Qbs don't need to run. They need to make good decisions and deliver the ball where it is supposed to be, on time. ​btw, go back and look at the first play he showed. Fields had Jefferson wide open with A LOT of room to run. He may even took it to the house because they were all crashing in on fields. Mahomes, Ben, Rodgers, etc all would have hit Jefferson. That would have slowed down the pass rush because you have to respect it. They left cover knowing he wasn't throwing the ball.

Fields inability to read the field fast enough to hit receivers when they are open will be a problem against actually good teams. His completion percentage is above 65 percent because of all the check downs he had to do in the first few games because he failed to find the open receiver. He holds the ball to long and then he runs and everyone says well what a great play by Fields when in actuality he forced himself to run because he messed up to begin with. That doesn't mean he is a horrible QB but he needs to really improve his passing game and that isn't going to happen. He didn't win this game Defense and special did. He's a one read or run QB. I will root for Fields because he is our QB but everyone needs to open their eyes and stop pretending he is doing something great.
