Purdy and this team were never "perfect". Aiyuk dropped FOUR PASSES, one of which was probably a touchdown. Mahomes looked pathetic in the opener, Josh Allen had three picks against the Jets, and they were playing in dry weather. Purdy is still an elite QB. The John Wick wannabe is waving his @ss around right now, as if Purdy's 13-1 record (yeah I count Miami) is reason to panic. Brady, Rodgers, Aikman, Warner, Montana, and Young have all said that Purdy is the real deal. I'll take their word over all of these blowhards that never played QB in the NFL!

Can tell you've been watching football for a long time. As a Niner fan this loss came at a better time for sure. They were also riding high after the Cowboys game and this is the reality check we needed. Important lessons were learned here. O-line needs to stay on top of protecting Purdy better. Sure the weather played a little factor in Purdy's throwing, but it's mostly the O-line being manhandled by Cleveland's great D giving Purdy no time to settle in. And our WR's were also having trouble getting separation. No excuses about CMC/Deebo out as we still have enough good receivers to do better. Not to mention the PENALTIES. A lot were on the refs for both teams, but Niners made plenty of undisciplined penalties also. I feel like Trent especially has been drawing too many of them as of late. But they'll bounce back. No team has a perfect year. It's just injuries that are a concern right now and shoring up some O-line issues.

Its proven in every game theres miss calls and if you're leaning on a good call for the win it can go on any teams favor. Also got to stop with this Purdy elite or system qb dramas cause it takes few years to find out who anyone really is. Some fans just too immature arguing over the dumbest subject and it dont even matters. All i know is that I've witness two superbowl lost and untill they win another one i dont care who's call elite or not. Win the Superbowl or all things is a failure each year, they have the players that could win it but will they? Let alone will they even be healthy enough when they get there? There's also 17 weeks now so its a long blessing to be had. Just injoy watching to best sports while we can and stop the nonsense. Purdy had a bad day, or not a usual day, that’s for sure but he didn’t lose the game. The kicker did. Yeah, you can say Purdy missed this and missed that but in the end the 49ers drove down the field then missed the game winning field goal. That shouldn’t be laid at Purdy’s feet. He did his job.

Aiyuk had some drops that would have made a big difference too. Purdy delivered the ball where it was needed more than not. Cleveland's D is legit too. Losing Deebo and CMC is more of the concern for me moving forward. How do we make up for that and what's the extent of their injuries. I believe we'll learn a lot from this loss.

Why was the loss shocking? I think if this loss shocked you, then you definitely don’t know football. CLE has an incredible defense this season. And defenses can make a crazy difference. This was a great test for Purdy and he did decent. Not great, but good enough considering CLE’s front 4. The game was still close, and Moody ultimately lost the game.

Brock Purdy and the 49ers offense struggled w/o their key players in the lineup against the #1 Defense. All that said, when the 49ers offense needed Purdy to drive down the field when they needed him most, he got them into Field Goal range where his kicker ultimately lost the game. Officiating was sketchy at best as well. When you're drafted in the 3rd round as a kicker, i'm not sure you're allowed to miss game winning FG's from 40 yards out... You should be able to hit 60 comfortably as a 3rd rounder imo.

Cleveland's D was the toughest we've faced. I believe with enough exposure to games like this, Brock will adjust and get better. This is the kind of game we can still win but I'd like to see our team take away what we can from this L, learn from it and get better. I hope we get Deebo and CMC back soon and as healthy as possible. It will be interesting to see how we adjust without them for a bit or in limited capacity putting more of it on Brock and the rest of the team. Go Niners!

Expected a little more respect given to the Browns defense, as it controlled the LOS all day long, which is incredibly difficult against the 49ers, especially in the rain. They use a lot of misdirection and in slippery conditions, being both aggressive enough to keep Purdy uncomfortable while reading your keys and not getting out of your lanes is *extremely* difficult. The Browns have given up 1,002 yards through 5 games, which is the best total in five-plus decades to start a season. To do that in today's game where all of the rules favor the offense and the Niners had looked like a well-oiled machine... a real missed opportunity here for a deep down on what the Browns did right, not what SF did wrong.

Personally when I know I won because the other team missed a field goal , in my eyes , we didn’t gracefully beat anyone, we played well , but if it wasn’t for some horrible calls late in the game , which we can’t bank on bad officials to get us through it, and if the kicker didn’t miss two field goals , both key factors in the win , yes we played good , but two things we can’t control , kicker , one man deal, and bad calls , with out those two factors we lost . Purdy, unlike most starting QB's is not a "dangerous" QB. He can never convert on 3rd and long, except through screen tosses and RAC. This makes him very predictable under these weather conditions. Give credit to Cleveland; they came out to play and had the competitive edge. The other issues are a horribly blown "personal foul" against Gibson which should get an NFL front office apology. The final blow was Shanahan's ridiculous hyper-conservative play calling on the last play, and the one that he never let happen.

Purdy is a really good system and timing QB who has benefitted from having recievers open or uncovered almost 80% of the time according to PFF. Yesterday was the first time his receivers weren't open constantly and he had pressure routinely coming at him. He didn't handle it particularly well. Can other teams do what the Browns did is the question? If others can go out there and man up the recievers then we'll finally know just how good he is, because most of the greats could still find a way to overcome that, a lot of them via improvisation. So far for him, it's been hit that back step and toss. Yesterday was hit that back step and...wait a second. That didnt go so well. He could've easily had 2-3 other INTs in this one.

Ya I would say disappointing but it’s ok because it’s out of conference game and Eagles also lost to jets so we still have the tie for the best record in the conference. Also the way they lost was encouraging. Purdy and many other people had a bad day and yet they still got the ball in position for a game winning FG but kicker had a bad day too. This team is so good that they can over come some players having bad games but when the whole team has a bad day I just have to chock it up to one of those days. 49ers needed this loss. I’ve found that the niners (and shanahan systems in general) tend to collapse when it’s time to abandon the system, and get into a high volume shootout. This is the best defense they’re going to play, so now there’s lots to learn from. Hopefully they can find what went wrong and learn from it.

Brock isn't at fault for this Loss and wasn't exposed at all . He did the Best he could with what Questionalbe calls he got . Kyle Shanahan is at fault for this loss 💯. Kyle turned into a Pumpkin on his Play calling like he did in the second half of SB 51 . He was pedestrian at best the entire Game at calling the right Plays , and it cost the 49ers .

the weather isn't the excuse it's his little hands. quarterbacks with 9 and 1/4 inch hands haven't fared well in Cleveland this season. you're on the wrong side of this one though it wasn't what the 49ers did wrong. it's what the browns defense did right. (Given they should have lost the game but that's no indictment on the defense. just look at the stat line)

So Purdy struggled in Cleveland= weather issues Joe Burrow struggled in Cleveland= weather issues Deshaun Watson "struggles" in the same game and weather Burrow played in (though Watson badly outplayed him week 1) = he sucks Y'all gotta stop being biased in who y'all give passes to. I hate that Watson didn't play yesterday because not only would he had outplay Purdy he would've handed him and SF their first loss. Why do we have to always be so cocky and entitled?
