Film Theory (PART I: Narrative Filmmaking)

This video will cover introductory film theory, basic film history, film philosophy/techniques, and film aesthetics as it pertains to narrative structures.
What’s film? I mean, we know what film is, but what is it? Well, it's about to go through reality. It gets us to feel. It gets us to think. It gets us to experience. Film is recreating reality--to a degree. Some filmmakers argue film is in fact reality.
PART II will cover Experimental Filmmaking (Manipulating Time/Space, Textures, Color Theory, Techniques)
PART III will cover Motion Picture Language (Shot Selection, Camera Movement, Focus, Lighting, Blocking)
