This was an interesting theory. My only counter arguement is the minions seem to enjoy committing evil acts no matter what scene they are in. It does show them working for evil dictators and pretty much killing them off, but about the technologies it never really says when something was made you know so in this alternate timeline, those electronics could’ve been made earlier. I have a question that literally just popped into my head. So, Netflix is removing the Lorax from viewing in my country and I decided to rewatch it, and now I'm curious. The colored lights can be fire if the wicks are made with certain chemicals, Flames can come in other colors, The Hacksmith has the color changing insets for their Torch saber so colored fire is easily possible.

1:06 and who says these movies are made for kids????? This is a common misunderstanding about animation. The age demographic doesn't say that it's made for kids. It says that it's APPROPRIATE for kids! Meaning it's safe for kids to watch, but it's not made specifically for them. If that was the case, then this would be a preschool cartoon. People need to stop stereotyping animation like this. Because this franchise obviously isn't a "kid's franchise" like people claim it to be. This is minions, not frikin dora the explorer for crying out loud!
