Filmation's Ghostbusters (Main Theme)

Here's a nearly pristine version of the Filmation Ghostbusters theme that I created using an isolated vocal track and its accompanying instrumental. Unfortunately, there's a remnant of a stubborn sound effect towards the end that was impossible to remove. Hope you enjoy!

Funny enough, in one of the IDW Ghostbusters comics, a brief appearance is made as an Easter egg, and it’s visually implied that these Filmation Ghostbusters are legit Ghostbusters in a different dimension or universe.

I didn't even notice the remaining sound effect, so you did an amazing job. Thanks a bunch man, I'm a fan of the show and love the opening. I went so far as to use it in a video I made that's a slideshow of a 13 page comic I requested showing Futura and Jessica (my favorite characters) going through the transformation sequence. You're not crazy. As best as I can explain, nearly all the Filmation shows were transferred to PAL from NTSC for overseas distribution in the '90s. As a result, this transfer sped up both the picture and audio by a small percentage. Since most of the original NTSC tapes were apparently discarded, this is what we're left with. In the case of Ghostbusters, the NTSC tapes DO exist and were used for BCI's DVD of the show. However, the KZbin uploads on the official Ghostbusters channel seem to use the PAL tapes and it's these that I use for my reconstructions of the soundtrack (as I do not own the DVDs). Kind of a long explanation, but that should clear things up. :)

@@SnoutMajor Thanks for the explanation! I originally thought it was sped up compared to the other videos I've seen here, but yeah it's coming in at 1:12 or whatever, so PAL conversion makes sense to me. Cheers!

@@SnoutMajor Hah, KZbin will change the pitch down to (very close, at least) the right one if you run the vid at 0.95x speed. Thought you might get a kick, etc.

Nope. Bayona Rad has some reconstructions on their channel. I don't have the time or interest to comb through the 196 episodes.
