@@jeggsonvohees2201 mandalorian armor can resist lightsabers, not stop them completely. Resist and immune are very completely different things. It can protect you from glancing strikes, but full on pierce will be still fatal.
@jeggsonvohees22015 жыл бұрын
@@JKgyaru6969 Yes, that is what I was referring to. I said I wish it could *still* stop lightsabers (old EU). I'm well aware the new canon greatly nerfed the Mandos as a whole. I don't like the change myself, as now Beskar really isn't very special or unique anymore aside from cultural significance. Other in-universe armor would protect you from a glancing blow, so long as said armor caught the Saber instead of one's skin. Given how the blast doors in Ep1 reacted it looks like durasteel would provide a similar protection.
@jeggsonvohees22015 жыл бұрын
@@JKgyaru6969 Now that said, it really doesn't make sense that it protects from glancing Saber blows but not stabs, and I say that because of how lightsabers work. They don't cut/pierce lIke a real sword. They burn/melt through materials through intense heat. Ergo, a Saber should have the same effect regerdless of whether it's a glancing blow or a stab.

According to Fenn Rau, Tarre Vizsla created the Darksaber as a part of his Jedi training. The Jedi kept it in their archives after his passing until another member of House Vizsla raided the Jedi Temple and retrieved it and used the power of the blade and its symbolism to unite and rule Mandalore. Later, we learn from Sabinne that according to her own father, Tarre Vizsla was at one point a ruler of Mandalore. What's uncertain is if "Tarre Vizsla" of Fenn's story, and the one that the statue depicted were the same person, or if "Tarre Vizla" eventually became a title used among House Vizsla to refer to its ruling member should they become the ruling house.

The way I see it, the Jedi are based on the Shaolin, The Mandalorians are based on the Samurai and the Empire was based on the Mongolians... and yes I understand that George Lucas himself has stated that he drew inspiration for the Jedi from the Samurai but the architecture of the construct that is the Star Wars Universe draws comparison to the Shaolin monks and the creation of martial arts and the belief in an otherworldly power called "Chi" and the pirate raids and small skirmishes they had against Japanese (Jedi Vs. Mandalorian) and then steps in Mongolia that f*cks everyone but Japan up (they were taken out by Typhoons... TWICE)... but in the end China and Buddhism (Formally called Shaolin) were able to push the Mongols out... The Jedi were Shaolin, The Mandalorians were Samurai and The Empire were the Mongols... also there's some similarities between the Mandalorians and Spartans but there's way more of a correlation between the Samurai and Mandalorians....
