Yeah, while this video never seemed to explain how he proved anything to Bo-Katan, I believe that Boba Fett is a true Mandalorian. Its like Thrawn and the Tie Defender show up in Rebels but its different from Legends and you can't assume any of the Legends stuff is true, indeed some is contradicted by the new version. Colors are suppose to have meanings when it comes to a Mandalorian & their armor, but some of that is Legends. Looking at Boba's Suit; Green is suppose to symbolize 'Duty', though to what or whom is unclear (to the All Mighty Credit? He was a Bounty Hunter/Merc after all). Bo-katan's Blue is mean to represent "Reliability"... I'll leave that be for now... The shoulder is interesting when one looks at all what the symbolism can mean (of wearing one's emotions on their sleeve, considering the left is nearest to one's heart). The base color of the piece is a Marigold orange/yellow; which could in Cannon (for Orange) represents "a Lust for Life", while Yellow (as in Gold) is of "Vengeance" or (in fanon as Yellow) is a sign of "Remembrance". Red is meant for "Honoring a Parent", & with the Mythosaur Sigil on said shoulder painted with should speak Volumes of what Boba believes, even if he comes off as uncaring about. Note; recall that Boba didn't get upset with either of the Night Owls denounced he was a Mandalorian or worthy of his armor. Though he did get in Bo-Katan's face with the "Prince" statement after she spoke ill of Jango with the corrective retort of, "Don't you mean donor?" (hence her disrespecting Boba's claim of who his father was & Jango's worthiness of being called a parent). Even a "simple Man(dalorian) making his way through the Galaxy," that was crossing a line and why his retort of "Princess" was meant to be an equal barb to her - reminding Bo-Katan of her personal short-comings as a leader. (Sorry about the tangent, and might be reading too deeply into) The sigil on the upper right torso is in White, which is suppose to mean a new start. This can lead to a lot of speculations; While in Legends, it may have been explained as Jaster's symbol though as what was it tp mean (Jaster's Clan that Jango/Boba would now be a part of as a Foundling Line, Journeyman Protector's Sigil, that of the 'True Mandalorians', or as something else). The droplet & the grain-stalk can have many meanings, as such I'm not going to get into. The letter doesn't seem to match anything I have found in the Mandalorian font (unless it is mirrored, then there are 3 possibilities), though in the Aaurebesh font it might be a stylized 'Dorn''/D letter. The rest of the Symbolism for this is even harder to give specifics on.

He could have taken the cape off because it was over the shoulder of the mythosaur sigil meaning he was somewhat hiding the fact he was a madalorian, he was not proud of it, or was not ready to fully embrace his lineage and by taking off the cape he embraced and accepts his lineage. I believe at one point the cap was over his shoulder hiding the sigil.

But He was the very first ""mando"" ever brought into the films, and then they expanded on the history of what a mandalorian is". Man the hate comments i got on that comment made me laugh, i guess they were around in the 1980s and already knew about mandalorians???
@inod56563 жыл бұрын
Yeah real world wise that statement is absolutely true. The whole mandalorian thing is based on boba in the OT. Canon wise he is not a mandalorian. Not even close. He is the clone of a deserted and thereby former mandalorian who was not even a born mandalorian, but a foundling. He only can proove to be the rightfull owner of his armor.

Aye even back then what Boba was and what Mandalorians are was constantly shifting and being ret-conned. Though imho the worst retcon was throwing out Republic Commando/Karen Travis lore, which is a shame as the music alone was epic.

Technically, bo was wrong when she said that boba wasn't a mandalorian. Anyone can be a mandalorian so long as they follow their path. It's why the mandalorian army was huge during the old republic. They take anyone willing to enlist and trained them.

Its funny that you mentioned Jaster Mareel considering when Jaster met young Jango, Jango wasn't a Mandalorian but the son of a Farmer which was retconned later by the game SWTOR when they mad a Clan Fett and made all the voice actors New Zealanders.
@willflint50143 жыл бұрын
Jango was a foundling, in a way Boba was a foundling. Yes, while being a clone of Jango and unaltered in anyway, he wasn’t the natural born son of Jango, but Jango fathered him and loved him just the same. Nice video Star Wars Comics! I'm really glad that Boba kept the Mythosaur symbol as well as Jaster's symbol. I'm also glad that Boba abandoned the Wookiee scalps. I wonder if Bossk pressured Boba to kill Wookiees and keep their scalps as trophies in Boba's younger years because Trandoshan culture revolves around hunting Wookiees. Maybe while Boba was in the sarlacc he realized that he had been manipulated into becoming a more violent man by Bossk, Aurra Sing, and the other bounty hunters who raised him. It would be so cool Bossk turned up in the Book of Boba Fett (Sure, he may have been on Jabba's barge but Bib Fortuna was and we know he survived) and asked where the Wookiee scalps were and then realized that Boba regretted what he had done. Maybe Bossk could say something like "I raised you to be a ruthless hunter but now I see you are weak!" and then they could become enemies. It would be so cool to see a fight between Fett and Bossk! Also I've been wondering how you get images and even footage for your videos from Disney +. Do you have as special agreement with Disney that allows you to take screenshots and screen recordings? Because as far as I know, Disney + has a program running that blacks out any screenshot a user tries to take. If you do have an agreement with Disney, how did you get it?

the sigil on the chest(Journeyman Protector, the organization existed before the symbol) was made to honor Clan Fett when they died refusing to surrender Mand'alor to Tor Vizla, the wheat symbolizes humble origins, the circle represents Resol'nare, the fact that the wheat exits the circle displays actions above and beyond what is called for, the droplet is to symbolize the willingness to spill every drop of blood in battle, and the letter is Mando'a it's the letter roh which is commonly associated with fidelity/loyalty

I don't know if you mentioned it in other videos, but you potentially missed another detail - his classic suit bore a White undersuit, which is now Black. If you go over the traditional colours of Mandalore, he's traded "A New Beginning" for "Justice" by symbolism. His prime colours are Black, Green, Red and Yellow/Gold - Justice, Duty, Honouring a Parent, and Vengeance. So pairing his red with Jaster's symbol is likely the prime tipoff - He wears the Mythosaur, he bears Jaster's crest, and openly bears declaration he's honouring a parent. Some of it's Legends material, but Mandalorians are bound by honour primarily, and this is a big case of Heraldry in action.
