Sarkar got success in the box office but it was a shitty movie (I'm a Vijay fan btw, but Sarkar was still bad) while Aayirathil oruvan flopped big time despite being levels above Sarkar or many other films that achieve success in the box office. It's another thing that the movie has developed a cult following after it was taken out of the theatres. You can argue he probably doesn't belong in the league of Vetrimaran or GVM (which I still wouldn't agree but I would respect your opinion) but you're taking the piss when you're saying he's inferior to the likes of Lakshmi Ramakrishnan or Rathna Kumar and his like.
