Now that I am retired I have the time to watch older movies some of which o didn't see when I was a kid . We only went to the cinema on Sunday matinee in South America But Guyana was as the only English speaking country in South America. I moved to Canada in early 70s so i got to see lots more on black and white TV 😅😂. The good old days 😂

Lately I have been watching a lot of these old westerns and I grew up in the fifties. I do not remember any of these stars. But when I grew up we were hardly ever watching that 12" TV but outside with other kids play war or cowboys or whatever.

Stage coach drivers did not wear chaps on their legs. Chaps were used by cowboys to avoid direct contact with bush and brush as they worked to keep cattle from straying from the herd. Stage coaches used six horses NOT FOUR! Movies used four because it was rare to find people who could control all the reins for six horses.

Agreed, and a pet peeve of mine is how lawmen and outlaws rode around with lariats when neither had any intention of roping livestock.

Being raised in Montana, even in the sixties, peopl up there did not want cities like other states. High taxes the crime rate in creasing and liberal thinking. Very sad now to see the Actors from Calif money grubbing up there. Buying land building homes so large it’s ridiculous unless you want to make it for profit. Which is exactly what they’re doing. Then, they sell after raising property taxes extremely high,those that have lived there for generations need a miracle to keep their land and cattle. Lifestyles…
