Using the iPhone 12 Pro Max with the sensor stabilization and a gimbal with the "glide" gives shots as smooth as butter--or nearly so. Thanks for another great video! Your contribution is priceless. By-the-way, you can always add a Part II to this and show more of your shots. I'm confident it would be greatly appreciated by everyone watching--know I would.

My favourite of the series so far! So many tips packed in here on a really tricky thing to nail. Cassius if there's more tips to do with gimbal work then definitely do a part two!

Another great video. Really well explained. I love that wipe behind the tree shot change. I attempted one like that the other day - it was not as slick as yours!

Thanks for sharing. I live in the Netherlands so PAL is our standard so normally I shoot 50 or 25 fps. You recommend 24fps. Will I then get flickering?

Great! Which gimbal is suitable for lenses + filter + microphone? The FeiyuTech G6MAX could take the weight. Do you have any tips?

Another great episode Cassius, any idea where I can pick up the Moondog multi-camera filter mount and will it need a special iPhone 11 case to attach it to ?
@gomakefilms4 жыл бұрын
Hi - go to the moondog labs website - for multi camera adapter. It has a bayonet connection so you will need to buy a moment case - the company is called moment lens - although their website will come up as momentshop (something like that)

Hi Cassius, what gimbal can you recommend for an iPhone 12 pro Max combined with a (Sandmarc Anamorphic 1.55x - it's a bit more on the heavier side...) lens and ND filter on it? Would the Smooth 4 still work for that heavier weight? I have a DJI OM4 and it doesn't work well for this setup.... I use a Ronin RCS2 but it seems to be overkilled for mobile filmmaking.

Some great ideas here --thank you. Any recommendation on gimbals? Do some allow you to control Filmic Pro remotely without touching the screen, e.g. to rack focus?

Hi thanks for watching. I use a zhiyun smooth 4 which is integrated with filmic pro - so is the DJI 4

Great video! What did you use to build your handrail or can you recommend one? I'm using the DJI Osmo 4 gimbal with FilmicPro but still have trouble to get my shots smooth enough, especially the up and down movements are bothering me... Thank you!

I used 15mm rails (normally used for dslr and follow focus gear) attached to 2 handle grips (order individually) just search online for camera handle grips. I then used a camera plate from a large tripod mount with 1/4 screws to attach to the rail

I already bought filmic pro once . I’m not going to pay again because the company that bought the software wants to amortize its investment by introducing an expensive subscription. ! A holes
