What an incredible experience! I'm so happy for you ♥ (you are right to worry abt them choking on apples, my friend's elderly horse once swallowed half an apple without chewing it and it got stuck in the bottom of his esophagus. It took the vets a week to break it up and push it through to his stomach and he almost died. Since then, I always cut them in quarters)
