@@FilmLab now on 8:37 its showing 01h 19m 55s that means we can record video for 1hour 19minutes . But on 9:05 its showing 20m . That means we can record video only for 20 minutes. Can u please explain whats happening.
@Som09mer5 жыл бұрын
@@amitdirector6122 at least with these settings (I'm not sure with other cameras/settings) you can only film for 20 minutes at a time. The 1h 20min means that there is room on the SD-Card for about that much time.

Nice video. A couple of points though. If you want to do your own color grading after the fact, you should be shooting in Flat not Neutral. That will give you the most latitude. Neutral has too much Sharpening added, to look natural (the film look your going for). You would have to go in and create a custom setting for this, but it only takes a couple minutes and you only have to do it once. It is also much easier and better for most, to set up their color style in camera and skip color grading altogether, as it is pretty difficult and most people don't enjoy doing this in the first place. A good white balance also goes a long way to make things look right. A lot of people skip that step and since your not filming in Raw, this is very difficult to correct. Secondly, your shutter speed should be set to 50 (not 40) on a DSLR. That most closely resembles the proper setting of 48 (2 times the frame rate 24). Most high end pro video cameras have a 48fps setting. When you go lower, you introduce even more blur, especially if you are shooting moving subjects. If you planned to do slow motion, 100 would be at better setting still. Hope that helps!

I have been exhausting all my resources for live dance performance shooting using any DSLR I can get my hands on. It doesn't help when I get my hands on an amazing camera for photography and know nothing about it but you have cleared most of my technical questions when it came to cinematography for Nikon. Thank You. I'm using my borrowed Nikon D7000 as my C-Roll camera for an on-stage camera angle.

Thanks for the tutorial. I've had my camera for about a year, have shot a short film on it (puppetry, so very controlled environment) and have struggled over the year to understand the needs of the camera at times. However, in 10 minutes you blew away any cobwebs in my reasoning and everything just fell into place. Now I can wield the camera like a pro. Thanks so much for taking the time to make it, and for the quality of the presentation and clear instructions. Would love to hear what you think is the best lens for stop motion distances but with live puppets. Thanks. And bravo! More please.

Good video. Lot's of helpful info, even years down the road (when this camera is still viable) and under consideration by me as a D750 backup. One note. Please, don't anyone shoot video on auto ISO. Works for stills. Not for video. Choose the best ISO and stick with it. If the light changes even slightly the camera will shift to compensate. With a fixed ISO, not noticeable, with auto ISO there's a shift. Almost impossible to fix in post. My 2 cents. Thanks for the video.

Excellent tutorial video. Your 7200 has an earphone jack. My Nikon D5200 is lacking that. Big disadvantage. I am using a Liliput monitor to monitor audio, coming out of the mic jac. Also, very helpful to know that 100-1600 iso is a safe zone. Really was never sure about that. I might look into the D7200. Ron
