Thanks for this video, very helpful, thanks! Re. the spool-knobs on the bottom of the camera: you can lock these into the open position (by turning when extended) That way it is more convenient to load or unload a spool.

@@vintagetechmall You're welcome! Your video helped me a lot to test my new Moskva-5 so it's only fair to return a favour :) My camera is working smooth, test pics show exposure is spot-on. But I need to have a closer look at the focusing (whether it's user error or adjustment issue) Keep up the great work here, cool channel!

Didn't you forget the 6x6 plate in front of the film? Did you get a couple of overlapped frames?
@vintagetechmall6 жыл бұрын
You know what, I just realized that my camera did not come with one. I have not shot with it yet though. I will have to check ebay for that plate. Until then, I probably will switch back to 6x9 if I'm going to shoot. Thanks for your comment, you just saved me some grief :-)

That camera will only shoot 6x9 as you have it configured .. To shoot 6x6 you need a reducing mask that clips in. All you will get is 6x9 overlapping images... Sure you set the viewfinder to 6x6 and and the film number to 6x6 in the back plate but you need to mask the film gate. Ive had several Moskva5's
@vintagetechmall2 жыл бұрын
True. Got the mask after the fact, as someone else pointed that out to me as well.

Did you receive a 6by6 mask for shooting square?

No, not with the purchase but I did buy it seperately based on the recommendation from another viewer.

hey man really amazing video just wanted to ask i just got this model as well and i am just startying film photography but the thing is I do not have that empty pole to roll tha film:)
@vintagetechmall5 жыл бұрын
You will need an empty 120 format spool, which is very easy to find on ebay or you could just sacrifice one unused film roll to get the spool to start shooting. Good luck!

@@vintagetechmall thank you very much for your reply there is another problem i found out on this camera. The shuter speed wheel does not moves.. do u know the possible reasson and the way to fix it?

Well. And how to give it back?
@alexbratov30953 жыл бұрын
Hi! Just started to shoot with medium format and have a question. When you wind the film with Moskva 5, do you shoot the next photo based on the film winding mechanism (when you wind and hear a click), or do you open the small window and search for number "2"?
@vintagetechmall3 жыл бұрын
I don't currently have this camera with me, but I do believe that when you load this properly, the two should sync.
@POKEMANZZ3 Жыл бұрын
am very late to this, but for future ref if anyone watches this, the manual actually tells you that while the winder *should* sync, that you should always use the windows to make sure. me personally, from my experience with a Konica Pearl, i dont trust winding mechanisms on 120 cameras this old, always use the frame window imo to ensure frames dont overlap/end up badly spaced.

Can you show how to unload it in the end? Also, it would be great to add to the title "Как зарядить пленку Москва 5". So, most people will find it faster and you will have more views ;)
@vintagetechmall5 жыл бұрын
I will certainly do that in a later video. Thanks for the tip. Will do :-)

@@vintagetechmall I already found how to do that, but it will be a plus for your channel. Especially if you name it in Russian also

@@golysh.v Hi there, how do you remove the film after it's finished ? I have a Moskva 2, i figured everything else out but not how to remove the film without exposing it. ( I don't have a film in the camera yet but im planning to use it soon. Thank you!
@golysh.v2 жыл бұрын
@@ardeleandan Hey! I've been shooting on Moskva 5 about two years ago and can't recall this moment right now... But the procedure is pretty the same to loading the film tape to the camera. If I'm not mistaken - you should just rewind the film tape back and after that you can easily remove it without any damage - because the tape has it's own paper protector.
