When we went on a road-trip in our early 20's we'd always forget pretty important stuff like beer or cups or soap. You've got like 6 stops with 8 people piled into an SUV with dozens of bags and everybody is bringing something different. It's just a recipe for stuff getting left behind. I hadn't noticed the color palate change and I just now noticed they change the film stock or lens when Dale or Tucker are being framed as hicks, it gets just a little more grainy.

Once again, not even finished the intro, yet absolutely have to say… Yes brother, your videos really do bring light and joy into our lives. Keep going, I know it's tough right now, but toughness only makes us tougher, right? As long as we don't allow that necessary exterior toughness to undermine the goodness and sensitivity within our hearts, which is where I feel you really set an inspiring example

For that bit where the spiked log lands between Dale's legs, I'd assume they used either a dummy wearing the same pants when they fire it at it, or they had the log already there, yanked it out backwards with a wire, and then reversed the footage to make it look like the log was fired at him.
