Our baby boy Grunt the Krogan supersoldier, Legion the Geth, Tali'Zorah Vas Neema/Vas Normandy/Nar Rayya, Garrus Vakarian the former cop and our best buddy, Liara T'soni the Asari archeologist, Wrex the Krogan battlemaster, Jack the biotic experiment and teacher, Captain David Anderson the father figure, Doctor Karin Chakwas the mother of the crew, Mordin Solus the eccentric Salarian scientist who once killed someone with farming equipment and awesome singer, the kleptomaniac Kasumi Goto, Joker the best pilot in the galaxy and EDI our ship AI, I just love them so much I can't decide! Also does the sexiest ship in the universe the Normandy SR2 count as a character? Is EDI basically the SR2?

You have no idea how well a playthrough of this would do. This is my favourite game series of all time, hell let alone the cinematically, some of the cutscenes are insane

If you ever decide to play this Trilogy I will 100% be watching it. Maybe not live if that's how you decide to do it, but absolutely have VODs on in the background while I do other stuff. The ME Trilogy is one of my favorite game series ever made, so seeing a content creator I enjoy playing it would be wonderful!

I never realized they made a second version with the female Commander Shepard that was awesome! Fun Fact for all you music heads out there - the track used in the second half is titled “Black Blade” by Two Steps From Hell. I fell in LOVE with TSFH epic trailer music years ago and then I saw this trailer for the first time and was extremely hyped when I heard the music kick in because I KNEW it and I was SO excited their music was chosen for this trailer. 100/10.

The first score is also by them, the aptly named "After the fall". It's an instrumental version but they also have one with female vocals.

Silence IS your answer" - Javik and then you also have this line: "Our numbers will darken the sky of every world" popping up into your mind as soon as you see the Reapers descending to Earth (if you played the other games that is)

Mass Effect has so many cinematic cutscenes like the Suicide Mission/Galactic Center battle, the Quarian vs Geth, Legendary Edition's Battle of the Citadel, the Battle of Palaven, and the final space battle. The opening cutscene is no slouch either.

This trilogy has to be one of the greatest, if not THE GREATEST sci-fi stories , across any entertainment platform. You know is good when no matter the ending , it could never be great enough to close such a fantastic story. I hope they never dare to make a movie or show out of it.

It needs to be a TV series. I know they tried to make it into a movie, but it's too long and complicated to be a movie IMO.

4:28 those are Trident class fighters, made by humans. In the Mass Effect Galaxy, the Humans were the only ones using carriers and using fighters in space that aren't launched from a stationary hangar. 6:13 that's the Reapers' main cannon, firing a jet of molten metal. 6:17 The Reapers are the only ships above 500 meters in length that can reliably land and take off on planets. Reapers are 2km long from tip to tail. 6:36 the Reapers' creators were giant squid like beings called Leviathans. 7:32 the small craft flying around are just called gunships. 7:50 The weapon the soldier is holding is called a Scimitar shotgun if i remember correctly. Weapons and ships use Element Zero to adjust the mass of things to propel them at abnormal speeds, enabling ftl and much lighter weapons and thrusterless movement. The Reapers use this Element Zero to move as well, through space and in atmosphere. 9:25 the vehicle is a Hammerhead, uses Mass Effect to hover and move, the redhead is Commander Shepard and the woman in blue armor is Ashley Williams, previously in pink and white armor. 9:58 those are Makos. APCs with horrible maneuverability. Land boats basically. 10:04 is that a guy holding a Geth Pulse Rifle on the far left? 10:25 that orange thing is an omnitool. Communication device, welder, weapon, digital interface, medical device, scanner and more. 11:03 winged ships are Turian, non-winged are human. 11:05 Brutes. Turian head, Krogan body with a bunch of cybernetics. Shepard is a N7, best class of human soldiers.

We could write pages of comments and opinions about this game. If you ever feel like playing an Action RPG with awesome characters, treat yourself with this trilogy. Remember these are old games, 2007-2012, they lack on graphics, gameplay systems, etc; But sound desing and music are memorable, levels and missions are entertaining, the story is really good. The voice acting, the script and writing of the characters you meet throughout the journey are top notch. There's a noticeable jump in quality from the 1st game, to the 2nd and 3rd so gameplay feels better as you go. There's controversy about the ending but the true content of the series are the stories you learn along the way and how relatable the characters are. It also has true fan service towards the end. Mass Effect belongs in the hall of fame of greatests games and it did what many games can't do today, meaningful story, meaningful decisions, meaningful characters.

Huge fan of the Mass Effect trilogy here, and I've got to say it has some of the best story released for an RPG (3rd game obviously kind of fumbled a few things but overall great)

those "Husks" are ... or were people, essentially any prisoners the Reapers would capture they'd impale on those Spikes. Those Spikes would inject the host with Nanomachines that would convert the host's body into that thing, called a Husk, it's body replaced with metal.

Sorry I missed the stream for this but glad you enjoyed it. This is one of my all-time favorites. I have played through all 4 games multiple times. ME2 was my hands down favorite I always saved Ashley in ME1.

Mass Effect Trilogi is one of my lifes most favorite games. I completed this trilogy like 8 times in total, and it's never boring to me no matter how many times I have already played. The game is just peak and perfect! The story, the music, the characters = PERFECTION! It's one THE best games of all time! 👏

The Trilogy is a a gem ... an unconditional recommendation to play or at least to try out .... personally the second game is the best over all ... but the beginning act of the third one is an absolute masterpiece ... I consider the reapers among the top iconic Scify antagonists .... Together with with The Borg from Star Trek and their cube ship The Shadows from Babylon 5 and their jet black spider screaming ships Once you experience the reaper sound and that ship descending towards you it will stick with you like the 2 others 2 I mentioned .... can be identified by the sound they make alone .... or the shape

Interesting tidbit about reapers, their weapons are so devastating because they don’t fire lasers, they magnetically accelerate Liquid Metal to a fraction of light speed.

*Perfection.* Taking back Earth is an all or nothing end game mission climax of three games in the making that the entire fate of whole civilizations hangs in the balance. I'm surprised it doesn't have a live action movie.

You mentioned scale a lot and how at the end it makes the viewer feel empowered, but I have to say: the player/viewer can feel as empowered as they need, but scale means nothing to Shepard. Just another Monday. ;)

Came for the Mass Effect as I am a huge fan, stayed for the epic reaction! There is a reason why it's a masterpiece and why in the gaming world Shepard is a legend weather you play male or female, If you decide to play the trilogy show it on here you will not be sorry. This only captures a portion of the emotion this game series can evoke, it's a series beloved by the fans for a reason. I type this as my replica Shepard helmet sits by be, my N7 neon sign is lit and I hope to see you dive into this epic series.

This game trilogy is one of the greatest video game franchises of all time. You have no idea, how good the trilogy is… the story, the narrative, the characters, the lore, the in-game music… it’s also one of the few universes in modern sci-fi storytelling where humanity isn’t painted as self destructive, fighting for survival among the stars etc… but rather as a unified planet where individual nations still exist but have managed to overcome their differences and began a new golden age of human civilization! It’s very refreshing! Definitely one of the quintessential stories in entertainment media to have ever been written!!

Lol, i love how in the universe the whole mattock style rifle line is noted to be heavier than the average weapon, and here we see Shephard one handing that. 😂 It's really funny cause there are one-handed weapons in the game.

I play ME original and LE probably more then 20 times trough years. That game being a turning point in SyFy RPG. All today is based on it more or less. I"m so pissed of the EA f**** up Bioware and Casy so Bioware being forced to come with ME:Andtomeda crap. After, several kay person left Bioware. Now as EA in charge for ME5 I"m sceptic. I"m looking forward what will do the "Human Origin" studio and the new "Exodus" from another. If Bioware will go to ME5 kind to Andomefa 2.0, that will be No go for me. Casy Hudson being a essence of ME and I'm not sure the the new team can deliver that feeling i ME5. Maybe is just me aahhh Edit: now peple waiting for two games from ex Bioware guys and for from Star Cirizen Squadron 42. Rest is, I guess it's not interrsting :D

THE WORD HUSK = WARRIOR is in Scandinavian countries and Northern Germany not just a term but also a FAMILYNAME! In my eyes the juristical department of BIOWARE has goofed here because there is still a chance for law suits because of such an insult to someone´s family honor.
