Jessie paralyzed with absolute fear at the trauma of watching Tuco beat a man to death while Walter calmly calculates the potential profit arising from their business partnership really just encapsulates the dynamic the two have for the entire series.
@nickhaze24912 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say Walt was calm as much as that is his way with immediately coping to a situation. Applying logic and calculation as quickly as possible in attempt to ignore how the trauma he just witnessed makes him feel.

@notmee23882 жыл бұрын
I read that scene different: that Walt was calculating how soon he could make what he needed so that he wouldn't have to deal with Tuco again. Previously, he got off on the power he thought he wielded, but now he realized he was in over his head. This is also reflected in the scene with Skyler against the fridge; he thought he was the ish the first time, but now he's lost the confidence.

Yeah honestly GOT was the same for me and I fell in love with both shows after their first 3 seasons, and then they gave us seasons 7 and 8💀 Other shows I can think of that got better as they went on were probably AOS and POI. Bojack Horseman and Curb too. Obviously BCS is another example but I think that's a given and doesn't need mentioning.

Bryan Cranston directs quite a lot of episodes. Theres some really good behind the scenes stuff thats well worth watching after you've finished (i now see that you have finished since this is 11 mnths old) There's one behind the scenes video that shows Bryan directing, while dressed as Walter and basically giving the direction to hank, and then acting in the scene with him and stuff like that. Its super interesting to see him do multiple jobs so flawlessly and being able to dive from one role off screen into another role on screen.

It makes you wonder if the developers at Ubisoft were such big fans of the show that they modeled the Vaas charcter after Tuco because they loved him so much since breaking bad came out 4 years before the release of Far Cry 3. Also Raymond Cruz the actor that played Tuco almost didn't come back to Better call Sual to reprize his role as Tuco because he said it was such a hard a demanding charcter. because he is so far removed from the way Raymond Cruz is in real life. So he actually found the role of Tuco very demanding.

When you said the methlamine heist reminded you of a GTA V mission, I think you nailed it. I already giggled internally remembering Hank's commentary to the CCTV footage. Unfortunately it got cut here. XD "It's a BARREL. It can ROLL you morons." Given how smart Walther usually is, they acted very GTA-esque with adorably funny stupidity on that part. Great comedy value though with the tied up outhouse.
@KayBeeLPKarsten2 жыл бұрын
The early stages of the show really emphasize on that whole "a non-criminal's idea of how crime works" concept Jesse pointed out with the choice of location for transaction. Walther is still so naive and somewhat innocent in his approaches to things.

@rockyraccoonhendrix17332 жыл бұрын
I know this is probably late, but the reason there were so few episodes was because at the time they were writing, a writer’s strike was going on. Before that you had shows that would come out with between 20-30 episodes per season. X-files is an example. (Vince Gillian wrote for that show. Also the actors that play walter Jessie, and Hank all appeared on that show.) Now the X-files is a great show, but because it has so many episodes some of them were hit or miss. (Most of them were hits lol) Because breaking bad had fewer episodes, coupled with the fact that the writer’s strike ended in the writers’ favor, you had top notch quality content. So even though there are less episodes they pack a huge punch. Breaking Bad is the show that made TV shows compete with the movies in how they are able to provide compelling storylines. It was truly groundbreaking.

@rousrouslan40232 жыл бұрын
She is annoying that's why
@vashsunglasses2 жыл бұрын
I hate her too and I thought about it for ages because I'm not a misogynist or anything. The reason why she's hated IMO is because of poor writing. Now before you get defensive hear me out. Even the show runners have admitted they have problems writing female characters! Anyway the problem with Skyler is that she's a reactive character. She doesn't really have a goal of her own, she doesn't have a quest to complete, she just reacts to everything that happens to her. Compare her to the wife in House of Cards. She has her own goals she's trying to complete that are separate from her husband. She's an active character who does things. Skyler is just sort of coasting through the show reacting to everything that happens and it makes her sort of infuriating. If I could go back in time and change anything about Breaking Bad it would be to give her something to do. I don't know... maybe she's trying to be president of the school board or she's a romance novelist who is trying to write the next big hit or she's a TV news anchor, SOMETHING.
