So i filmed this before i found the english subtitle version and i wanted you to see my genuine first reaction. I did watch the version with subtitles and all that i got from it was that the boys are funny. Any time i film a shooting sketch reaction in the future i'll be sure to use the english subtitle version. Thank you guys so much for helping me get into the army and teaching me everything. I'm still learning and adapting so if there are ways that i can improve the viewing experience for y'all just let me know. Just laugh at these auto generated subtitles lol

@@LoveTheBasics it has consecutive storyline 1. Serendipity MV (the intro for first album), DNA MV(the main title of the first album). It talks everything feels so beautiful when we love someone else, as if as we are destinied to each others. 2. Singularity MV (the intro for the second album), Fake Love MV (the main title for second album). It's about, we change ourself according the others want, in order to keep their love for us. But we lose our trueself just to make others happy. We give them our fakeself then we will obtained the fake love. 3. Epiphany (intro for the third album), Idol (the main title for third album). In the end, we are realized. If we want someone love us trully, then we must true to ourself first. The first step is with to love ourself first and accepted our strength n weakness. After we can love ourself, then we will can love others without faking ourself. 4. Euphoria MV (the final intro). Nb : 1. the someone that we love, it's not only talking about lover or romance relationship. But it can also with our friends, our parents, someone we respect, even with ourself. 2. The consecutive storylines that i write above is based on the song theme lyrics. Not the story of the video. The story of the video (Fake Love and Euphoria) it's a part for the other storyline, it called Bangtan Universe storyline. The video storyline has been builded through some of music video since 2015 until now (the storyline is still goes on)

@@LoveTheBasics There are 3 albums and a song in the Love Yourself series: - 'Love yourself: wonder' -> 'EUPHORIA' - Album 'Love yourself: Her': where you fall in love and everything is pretty and fun -> 'SERENDIPITY', 'DNA', 'BEST OF ME' - Album: 'Love yourself: Tear': where you realize that you changed in order to make that person "love you", so much that even you don't know who you are anymore. And that the person can't really love you since you she doesn't know the real you, therefor it can't be real love. You're afraid she's gonna leave if you reveal your true self. -> 'SINGULARITY', 'FAKE LOVE', 'TEAR', 'THE TRUTH UNTOLD' and 'MAGIC SHOP' (the last 3 don't have MV but are important in the series). The flower in 'Fake love' that Jin is trying to protect in the explosion is representing that fragile love that can't grow and is endangered. It doesn't have to be romantic love, it can be love for a friend, family ... - Album 'Love Yourself: Answer': where you realize that the reason why you were hiding behind an appearance is that you don't like yourself, you think you're not worthy of others' love as you are. You realize that unless you learn how to love yourself first you won't be able to love anyone else. -> 'IDOL' is a celebration of you finding the answer: loving yourself (and also to tell haters to mind their own business btw ^^), 'EPIPHANY', 'ANSWER: LOVE MYSELF' The best would be to listen to each album in the order to understand the concept.

thank you for saying this. armys care about the music, the story, and its interpretation. whether it's expressed thru cinematography, acting or choreography, it all adds to the overall experience of how we consume their music. which heavily impacts the level of connection between artist and fan. the lighting, the colors, the set, the costume, the overall aesthetic isn't something an army would just brush off, it's exactly part of the many things we focus on. i hope more filmmakers see how meticulous bts are with their craft and their involvement in it.

Imagine the pressure while performing. Like imagine 5 people doing your clothes and makeup alone and not expecting yourself to be a little self-conscious about it or a little guilty if you mess things up, impossible.

That's because in those closed captions KZbin does not translate but trancribes what is said. That's why it's such a nonsense 😁

One of the major reasons we love their dancing is because from a choreographer perspective it is also adding , showing, reflecting the lyrics, meaning and message of their songs. So there are a lot of choreographers out there who have reacted to their dance practices, and have explained how every movement is also part of the whole picture they are drawing. So basically BTS is saying a story not only through the MV itself but the lighting, the effects, the lyrics, the music, the designs, the costumes, and of course their amazing Choreography, which by the way is way harder, deeper and difficult that what you may see in first glance. This is why BTS is huge, they put their 100% into EVERYTHING they do! So thank you for helping us understand just how much effort they put into the cinematography, things that we do not know about, or did not notice!! GREAT REACTIONS!!

They still use CGI sometimes though, but lots of what you would expect to be CGI turns out to be real sets. For example, their music videos 'ON official MV', 'FILM OUT' and 'IDOL' are filled with it, 'BLACK SWAN' also for one scene. In the case of 'Idol' the CGI is very overwhelming and obvious, it's like an overdose of colors and fun images, there is a reason behind it though, it's pretty interesting. I recommend their MV 'Blood Sweat and tears' it's very good and different, but also 'Fire' and 'Black Swan'.

You need to realise that you're loosing yourself by changing yourself to fit someone else...also it's not 'the ARMY' it's just 'ARMY'. Our fandom name is an acronym. Thank you for the reaction. If you read the mirror in the background it says 'save me' when you turn it upside down it reads 'I'm fine' another song of theirs.

The 7 of them started off in a poor bankrupt company back then. Their work ethic is amazing, theyre so humble and intelligent. All the members contribute to songwriting, composing and producing. They always talk about growing and improving despite breaking so many records. All their previous albums deals with mental health, self love, self improvement, philosphy, art, literature and make social commentary. They are intelligent and their brotherhood is beyond wholesome. I love how supportive of each other they are and I love how they dont take themselves seriously. The leader of the group has an IQ of 148 and taught himself english by watching friends. His stage name is RM. Jimin-top contemporary dance student at his dance school, has a black belt in martial arts jungkook- main vocalist, good at everything V- vocalist, photographer, new to composing music Jin- university graduate in performing arts, graduate in 2017 while being in BTS, new to composing music Suga- rapper, songwriter, composer and producer. Won an award in korea for producing another artist's song. J-hope- top street dancer, producer, songwriter In 2019, the group scored their third one with Map of the Soul: Persona, sixth extended play, on the US Billboard 200 making them the first group since the Beatles in 1996 to have 3 number one albums in less than a year. BTS went through a lot of hardships to get where they are. They faced a lot of rejection even in their own country. Even after breaking out to mainstream western world, they still faced soooo many struggles. This is further explained by the channel celestex video called BTS from nobodies to legends and bts contribution to music. You have no idea how funny, humble and hardworking they are. Theyre so hardworking to the point they pass out and need oxygen tanks during the backstage of a lot of their performances Back when they first debuted, one of the members lied about being in a car accident because he thought he wouldnt be able to be with the group and perform. He only got his fixed last year. He was delivering food in the rain. He worked a lot of part time jobs to make ends meet. They are very versitile and NEVER STICK to ONE GENRE. They can make catchy bops, to hardcore hip pop, to jazzy vibes, to deep emotional songs to songs that just heals your soul lyrically and melodically. BTS stands for Beyond the Scene, started off as an acronym for “Bangtan Sonyeondan,” which translates to “Bulletproof Boy Scouts,” and means to “block out stereotypes, criticisms and expectations,”

As an ex dancer (hobby), retired engineer, everything fits together as a magnificent puzzles. There are so many levels in meaning even I could go on for an hour. They have a long lasting storyline crossing everything. They have the base meaning of each video that holds on its own, separately. The dance fits as carefully as your cinematography. This is a real art piece. Let me recommend the reactions of Jordan Orme, a video editor that knows the universe story as well as the separate story for the video. It will help fit the story into what you see, I am enjoying watching reactions from people who see different aspects of the video making. I found BTS 3 weeks ago. It is nice to see someone knowledgeable struggling, too, as they stumble across BTS. :)

oh no, you didn't really "forgot" about the explosion, you just didn't see it, bc it's in the extended version of the MV 😅 also we do care about the cinematics, a lot of their MV's are part of the storyline and we love the storyline, but we also love the dancing it's like perfect balance for us. you should check out Agust D "Daechwita" MV and behind the scenes, it's very cinematic and just amazing visuals! Agust D is one of BTS members Suga's name for his solo work, he's one of the rappers 😇

The big theme for the whole album was Love Yourself. For this song specifically, you need to love yourself first before love someone else. If you don’t respect and love yourself and obsess over someone that’s not real love.

BTS music videos usually contain the second layer of the meaning or what the lyrics can be understood to mean. For example, in the song Fake Love, they talked about feeling sad that after doing everything to make the other party love them, they themselves don't feel happy and they realized it is because the love if actually fake. However, the Fake Love music video is related to the Bangtan Universe or BU, so each member has their own set bc they each has their own traumatic experience with love. The member in the snicker bars scene (J-Hope), his character in the BU suffered the fake love of his mother who abandoned him at a merry-go-round with only a snicker bar.

Every scene in this MV is part of an ongoing storyline BTS has shown throughout their music videos since I Need U in 2015. The backgrounds go together with the member's characters in that storyline from previous music videos and short films. It also matches with the entire theme of the album Love Yourself : Tear which is the second album that is part of a trilogy. The lyrics also match the scenes and connect this song with other music videos after it. I can genuinely say I have never seen an artist create such a large fictional storyline that has lasted over 6 years and still ongoing, BTS even created mobile games and a webtoon to continue the story.

I discovered BTS because of their dancing through the algorithm. After that I was sucked into the rabbit hole. However, all I know is that their all around performant is amazing. It is great though to learn exactly why (cinematically speaking) their music videos are so appealing. Been following you for a while. But after hearing you speaking to John Reeves recently, it made me search this reaction out. I originally had assumed the falling floor and the water were CGI as well! It's so much fun for all of us to watch a new person go down the BTS rabbit hole... Especially someone with such unique insight and perspective. Even when you're "wrong" you're not wrong. I'll bet the boys would love to see the way you translate the material because so much of being an artist is speaking a very personal language and then watching how different people translate it. They ARE creating a storyline, but it's always a storyline that I'd meant to be interpreted by individuals in their own unique way. And you have such a creative lens. I'm surprised to hear you ask "how do people come up with this" when you have such insight into the scenes! I'm a creative director and it's very much just flexing creative muscles all the time. While certain things "just make sense" to me, I'm sure I'd watch you decide to film a certain way and wonder how you "know" how to do that. You might be interested in watching a few of the Classical Musicians React videos (Suga's Interlude:Shadow is a good one) where they break down the framework and context of the musical composition. You will see just how much goes into a BTS song. EVERY SINGLE aspect is on purpose. What's utterly crazy is that in Korea they were often left out of the kpop genre because of this. Because kpop was "supposed" to be simple, catchy, pretty (with crazy beauty standards) and not complex art.

You should definitely check out the MVs for "On". They made two different ones, and each has a behind the scenes video too. The first is called "Kinetic Manifesto" and it focuses on the dance performance. They used a lot of drone cameras to get dramatic swooping shots, and the whole thing is shot in front of Sepulveda Dam in LA. The second MV is telling a story and is very cinematic with themes of struggle and rebirth. It's shot in the countryside around LA, with some spectacular scenery, and they also used more CGI than they normally do for the fantasy elements. The animals are real though, as you'll see in the behind the scenes video.

There are 3 ways to interpret most of their older videos. 1. Whatever you personally interpret from the lyrics. That is encouraged by BTS. 2. The explanation re: their concept at that time and still is in collaboration with UNICEF - Love yourself Fake Love is thinking you can love yourself only if you are perfect. 3. This is for hardcore fans. A confusing ( maybe not - for many) cryptic story called BTS Universe. You search for connections. Here there are those -round handles as in a bus hanging when RM raps - snickers - mobile phones flashing Etc The story line touches on some untalked of subjects. Again the UNICEF thing about what adolescents face.

Well I’m not a dancer. I don’t understand dancing. Not just with BTS but in general. Dance is not my art form. I couldn’t tell you how their dance tells the story. So isn’t better that I don’t speak on something that I don’t understand?
@AllisonWonderland
@AllisonWonderland 3 жыл бұрын
@@LoveTheBasics This isn't meant to be a jab or anything, but I think some people might see a comment about the dancing being somewhat irrelevant, or less important than any other cinematic element as dismissive or unappreciative of the larger picture, which is exactly what BTS music videos/BTS Universe videos are about; they go waaaay beyond music or lyrics. Therefore, inadvertently, you techincally end up 'speaking on something' you aren't familiar with by pretty much dismissing it. Like, I suppose people realize that dance can be *not* fully understood by someone, but most people hope that that someone can simply observe the art form, and at least recognize the artistic, and narrative value it holds... even without fully knowing the nuances. Ya know what I mean? 🙂 It's kinda like someone saying 'oh, the lens you use for filming doesn't matter', or 'why would backlighting be important for this scene? it makes no difference!'... a filmmaker or cinematographer would probably incensed, or, at the very least, be pretty incredulous that someone didn't at least understand that lighting, and the composition of a shot are essential to conveying a visual message, even though that person supposedly knows 'nothing' about filmmaking. If you simply don't fully understand the dancing, or don't connect as deeply with it, people will understand. But to kinda act as if an artist would benefit from showing less of what they have always deemed an essential part of their storytelling... that might rub people the wrong way. I totally respect your opinions, and your right to voice them... just thought I could maybe elaborate, and perhaps clarify how I think people might feel about that perspective. 😊

You’re 100% right and I didn’t think about it that way. Just because I don’t understand doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t acknowledge it. I know that dance can have a really big emotional impact for some people and from my understanding it’s like the foundation of BTS

Usually, the set designs have meaning for bts and armys. We have a bts universe which is like an alternate universe fictional story that has been going since the old music videos. Apparently, the things you see like the phone, the snickers bar or the trailer truck have stories and meaning behind them and is still ongoing. We had theories about it and a webtoon. Soon, there will be a drama series about the BU or bts universe. They are literally genius when it comes to this and we are always excited to connect their music videos and stories they tell 😍 I really love your reactions btw and thank you for sharing your time dissecting their intricate MVs
