The death rate by personal belongings/objects, defined by hands/fist/feet/knee/etc, is 3-5 times higher than death number and death rate by guns. Fun fact: The actor who play Ip Man, Donnie Yen is once get into a street fight with some gangster in real life and really fought 10 guys at one times which inspired the scriptwriter to write this into the movie. That's how they get to do that "I want fight 10 person" scene. But of course back then Donnie Yen ain't using the Wing Chun style because he learn Wing Chun just before they plan to shoot this movie, but Donnie Yen did learn traditional martial arts since he was 8, then got himself black and purple belt from Judo and Brazillian Jiu-jitsu, he also explore MMA when he is in USA from 2000 to 2003, so you can kind of imagine how's that fight go. My dad was a student at Ip Man's school in Kowloon at the same time as Bruce Lee, back when they were both teenagers. So yes, Ip Man was a real person, and all the techniques Donnie Yen uses are real wing chun - I learned wing chun for 4 years, things like tan sao blocks, kicks and chain punches like the ones Yen uses are the exact same things that I learned :) Pretty much every modern wing chun school can trace its lineage back to Ip Man, his students and their students, so effectively all wing chun today was created by Ip Man's teachings.

He learned whin chung from ip man but he notice there was some offensive flaws so he only took in the principle of defensive from ip man and bruce lee created grappling and some hand bar take down used in today mma. A lot of mma fighters said bruce lee if he was alive today would do really well in mma cause he made some mma moves well known back in his time.
@seraphinaaizen6278 Жыл бұрын
Bruce Lee did notcreate ANY of the techniques he used. His contribution was making the concept of cross-training in multiple styles mainstream (although other people were already in the process of doing so). "A lot of mma fighters said bruce lee if he was alive today would do really well in mma cause he made some mma moves well known back in his time." Bruce Lee wouldn't have a prayer against the pro fighters of his own era, let alone a modern pro. He wasn't a fighter, he was an actor with a bad back. The only way he could have done well in MMA is if he had quit acting and trained to actually be a fighter full time. There's a lot of hero worship around Bruce Lee which enormously distorts and exaggerates people's impression of him.

I loved all four movies but the first two are probably my favorites out of all movies or at least really close.

Nice reaction. Fun fact: This guy existed for real and Bruce Lee went to China and was hes underling, wanted to be as good and learn the art as him and got even better. This is a true story. Check it up!
