Wow, this is a great scene man. It's impressive to see how much the character James has grown since the last film, this scene is plenty evidence of that. Tonya obviously hasn't changed, and the fact that she raised her daughter to behave like this is just despicable. Another point I should make is that this scene proves that simply having daddy issues is not the case in terms of how some women treat men, it can come from any influence. Thank you for this clip Mr. Alexander, it's truly excellent and realistic.

Last point: a wound is going to hurt before it starts to PROPERLY heal. We can try to get around the issue all we want, but until we face it head on we are NOT going to go anywhere. This is a perspective- something that we all have. But we need to call out the elephant in the room and discuss it. Everyone has an opinion. Everyone knows our history. Now, as we address these issues we need to also come up with solutions. We also need to BE a solution. If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem. Peace and love people :)

Note to all: I'm not here to debate. I'm here to discuss. I've read some of the comments. Some are great, valid points, some are immature bitter points. Go figure... it comes with the territory when discussing relationships in any manner. However, if you have a question or comment in regards to what I say I appreciate your respect and consideration. I didn't come on here to bash, judge, or wreak havoc. And for God's sake, you are reading posts without knowledge of the emotion behind what a person says. However, if you clearly READ what I have posted I'm obviously not on here to "defend" Black women or anyone for that matter. I'm giving feedback and my thoughts, just like you are. But on some realness: I'm not those other women. You see it here first. So please do NOT approach me like I am "one of them" because I will NOT approach you like you're "one of them." I'm sure that many of you are intelligent enough to see what type of woman I am because you're reading EVERYTHING that I've posted, right? lol Toodles! :) P.S. Because I know someone is going to bring it up... No I'm not talking about anyone specifically. I don't do that mess. I'm nipping s*** in the bud right now because in environments like this emotion and drama is bound to happen. Plus, I'm aware that I look like the women being portrayed in this film so I know people are going to assume that I am just going to side with Black women automatically. For the record, I don't side with women like this period so you can approach me accordingly with dignity and respect. Carry on! :)

Despite having the cause, the child needs an example of mental/emotional strength in her life which she probably isn’t getting in either home due to raw feelings and immaturity (at the mother’s house definitely). The man’s job is to foster security in the face of chaos, not impetus. Just my thoughts.

But seriously as a father myself, he did stand his ground against the ultimate disrespect, but deep down, he is truly crushed and heartbroken having to do that. We as black men love our children more at times than we love our own selves, we don't want our children bowing down to us like we are some kind of tyrant, but just want some kind of love and acknowledgement, but WE ARE STILL MEN, we will not let just anyone walk all over us, if one challenges our manhood, there will be a response, just think what would've happened if that was someone else speaking to him like that.

Note to self: make sure I I am clear on my posts. Considering I'm a Black Woman it might be assumed that I would side with the Black chic automatically #sarcasm :) Folks: most of us clearly sees who the fool is in the video. In case you need to know if I know I clearly see its the mother. Vent: I'm tired of being categorized with women who do ignorant stuff toward men because we share a common skin tone. I don't have children, I'm not asking for brownie points for being a mature adult and I don't walk around talking about being ultra independent. This movie is necessary to expose our demons pertaining to how Black Women have been responsible for the downfall of our culture and communities. However this is just one slice of the pie. I'm sorry but I'm tired of having an experience everywhere I go where i get negativity directed toward me because of a particular type of women that I do not associate myself with just because I look like her. For the record I'm not angry, just frustrated. Our entire culture is tired. I do understand that we have to face our demons to heal. However recognize that not every Black woman that responds are the ignorant women that this film is talking about. Just like most Black men I know aren't just baby daddies either. Another consideration: women are emotional as a whole. I'm not lashing out but I'm not holding anything in either. There has to be balance. I'm frustrated. I'm a human being. It happens. So please don't take this as another woman just complaining to be complaining. Please see the points I'm making as a woman who has never displayed the behavior in this film and never will. And trust me... I say the same to Black women as well when it comes to discussing our men. (exhale) Okay... I'm done venting. Looking forward to the next movie. Toodles :)
