George Wallace survived the heartbreak of the disappearance and murder of his daughter, Michele, in 1974, and the suicide of his wife, Maggie, five weeks after Michele's disappearance. He lived to see his daughter's remains recovered, her murderer brought to justice, and to finally inter his daughter's remains with his wife's, her final wish. In January, 2006, George was found severely beaten in his recliner of his home. He died hours later at the hospital. What happened to this family is really tragic😢.

Right. Murderers and repeat sex offenders and career criminals should be in prison for life with no parole. Never let them out
@Autumn-Mist2 жыл бұрын
The problem with no parole is that prisons become over crowded & corrections is under staffed, thereby placing their lives in jeopardy and don't forget politics. When over crowding occurs, politics dictates. The bottom line is that every state should have the death penalty. Some people are incorrigible & are a menace to themselves & others. The father used the appropriate language when describing this caliber of criminal.

Too much reasonable doubt without a body. You have to convict beyond a shadow of a doubt and there was too much doubt without the body and evidence of assault
@CharlieGoldenAndIzzy Жыл бұрын
you can't do it without a body. Just like Matt said, it has to be proven beyond reasonable doubt. And if the jury has doubt and verdict Not guilty - this is it. You cannot re-try, normally, unless its hung or mistrial (double jeopardy don't allow it). That's why in most cases prosecution gets only one shot to prove it. And they better put effort in that one shot, they can't risk that a murderer goes not guilty and walks out free.
@gib59er56 Жыл бұрын
You are right and not right, lol. They might have had enough evidence, but I don`t think they felt that they did. You can never know what a jury will determine. We are jurors, meaning we are citizens. Every jury has 12 people deciding one`s fate. We, as humans have our own feelings, views, opinions and intelligence. They most often differ and clash. The smallest thing may make a person vote differently one day than another day. They might not like how a defendant cuts their hair, or the color of their skin, or if they did not get laid that morning. Very slippery slope and very fickle. You have one shot at it. You better get your shit wired tight as a prosecutor. No double jeopardy. I guess they have to look at every case and when they find weak points, they try to gather evidence to strengthen them.

Rest in Paradise to the Wallace Family 🕊✨💐 After reading some of ur comments, it broke my heart to learn of the murder of George Wallace in 2006. This Family did not deserve all the tragedy they suffered, but I'm happy that they were able to receive Justice: St. Petersburg, Florida - Two people have been arrested in connection to a home invasion that left an elderly St. Petersburg man dead.Police arrested 21-year-old Stephen Sterling and 17-year-old Eugene Wesley in the beating death of 85-year-old George Wallace. Investigators say Wallace was inside his home last month when the two men broke into his house to rob him. Police say when they saw that someone was home, they beat Wallace to death with a pipe. Wallace's roommate says he was awakened by his screaming. Circuit Judge Cynthia Newton immediately sentenced Sterling, 24, to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Wesley 17, struck a deal with prosecutors in which he agreed to testify against Sterling. For his testimony, he will receive a 25-year prison sentence.

They did more than the police officers. Sly remarks about them trying tobbe a "SHERLOCK HOLMES". They did what the trained polished certified police officers couldn't do. ❤😂😂😂❤ God bless this group that by the way don't have to do what they do. Without them this case would have stayed COLD!!!!!

Can imagine how it seemed to her she was helping someone in need. Trusting others - in combination with agreeableness - is what eventually had led to her demise. However, it anyway was not wise for a young girl to have been out there - on her own - like she was. When venturing out into the wilderness, one should do so in a group, and preferably with at least two vehicles; for in case on breaks down.

There is never any justice when a predatory killer is allowed parole, to kill again. That bastard Roy will have killed many times, he just got caught this time. Condolences to the family, what a terrible tragedy

The corpus delicti is not the body of the victim. It is the "body" of a crime. Until there is definitely a crime, there can be no prosecution.
@____username____2 жыл бұрын
Correct but it should also be noted that a physical body is not needed for the conclusion that a crime has been committed.
