That’s because this movie and IB are in a long tradition of WWII adventure movies stretching back to the 1940s. Tarantino went into great detail in interviews about the genre and what movies he used for inspiration, riffed off of, or stole and repurposed from. The movie isn’t set in Nazi occupied Europe. So no worries. Be pretty bizarre to go to West Africa and find no black Africans there.

So I am to believe that WAAAAAAAY back in 1941 the creation of the SAS involved an Asian man?! Dudes accent is on point but dear god that is historically inaccurate. Was all for this and the chemistry between the actors seems great, but its history. Americans put all Asians in camps for gods sake.
