I can't beging to tell you how much your uploads are helping me. I'm probably the brokest indie filmmaker on the face of the Earth, but your lessons have shown me that even with a limited budget, you can get great results by adhering to the basics of filmmaking. Thanks for all that you do. Subscribed.

Pay attention to classical movies, like "12 angry men". Or for example some Ingmar Bergman works, especially tv version of "Fanny and Alexander" - certain moments felt like a dance of different layers upon layers upon layers, actors was like a theatrical curtain that unraveled next key element after another.

Thanks! I'm making my first film very soon that's going to be part of a trilogy. I never even considered going to film school because I'm making films purely for the passion and art of it. Making them with influences of my own in the styles of films I like. While film schools demand that you abide by their standards. With their main intention being the success, recognition and making statements. Which I don't care about any of that. The type of films I love would be laughed at by film schools. This way I can learn what I need in order to improve my own vision without being told what to do or what to like.
