Actually, it's the writing that makes or breaks the show. If the writing was bs, no matter how much he loved Geralt, it would still be bad. The writing turned out decent luckily, not amazing, but it didn't kill the show. There are a ton of good actors in the industry. When a show fails, most of the time it's because the writing went to shit. Eg GoT.

@TheOnlyWay2Go.5 жыл бұрын
Al mac I think that’s a blatant generalization, that can be dangerous to say, because of how it ignores the situations of trauma that men experience but is not talked about. I personally think guys have just been told and expected by women and other men to tough out more situations
@almac92035 жыл бұрын
@@TheOnlyWay2Go. I think that generalization is not 100% true but it is probably true in about 95% of cases. I was in a bar and I was pinned to the wall by a very aggressive woman who shoved her hands down my pants but I wasn't traumatised at all. It was just a fun story to tell my mates. If the roles were reversed a male would probably end up in jail for that kind of behaviour but I think it is different for most guys. I am not talking about priests abusing kids but any semi-attractive female objectifying or aggressively pursuing males. I can't speak for all males but I know I wouldn't be offended.
@blueshoes51455 жыл бұрын
@@TheOnlyWay2Go. its a generalisation but it is more true than untrue. The amount of comments under certain videos where the guys male comments like 'that lucky bastard' ' she could harass me anyday' or 'why don't I go to a school like that' etc. I was surprised, but the only people who stood against it were women in the comments. I played it off as a motherly instinct to protect while the guys were having some teen hormone surge. This was years ago btw. I feel like more guys now have finally started to realise that these comments make it hard for men who really do suffer and that men can be victims too. Through experience I feel like the reason women are so receptive or sensitive to sexual comments is because they feel unsafe or its demeaning. We attach things such as sex to emotions alot and so comments can come out disgusting or nasty to us than it does for guys. Cause again guys see sex differently. So there you go..there are many factors that determine how women and men in GENERAL respond to sexual comments.

Anya will make and has made an amazing Yennefer, all those coming for her in this 5 month PRE-SHOW interview, which was probably one of her first major interviews fresh out of drama school, are idiotic. It's funny, all of the critiques of her is always nitpicking at her appearance or some obscure thing, but never about her actual ability to portray and act as Yennefer, which leads me to believe none of you actually have a problem. you're just mad she isn't white.

I wasn't mad but there some avid fans of the book and game who are sick of characters being changed simply for trying to be pc and for diversity
@petershury71353 жыл бұрын
@Elvira but it was based off polish Eastern European lore and the director completely shit on the source material to get woke virtual points I don’t have a problem with diversity especially diversity of opinion

I love how the moderator kept pushing that the show was a take on Yennefer and Ciri without a male lens even though Lauren was being clear that it was just about making them whole characters independent of Geralt. The author of the books did this well after they met Geralt and were brought into the story, but she just did it differently because a show needs to flow in a way books can work around. It was not about a male lens, it was about avoiding a third person limited point of view.
