I like Moana 2, it’s a fun and entertaining movie! The animation is beautiful, the new characters are great additions, and Moana is an amazing protagonists and a wonderful role model for young kids (especially girls)! My main problem is that it felt “shorter” than the first movie, despite having almost the same runtime. The plot felt too rushed that it didn’t allow enough time to establish the urgency of the plot’s main conflict and the high stakes on the line if Moana doesn’t do anything to solve the problem. Just my thoughts!

Love the review🔥!! I’m kinda skeptical on watching this one. I loved the first one, but I feel like you can definitely tell it was originally supposed to be a show due to the animation looking a bit cheaper, but still beautiful

Just saw the movie a few days ago and loved it, i know a lot of people see the movie with mediocre but as someone who loved the first moana i had a lot of fun with it despite not wuite being in the targeted demographic. While the score was definitely a step down it wasnt downright bad i thought everything else but the first half pacing was pretty much spot on for me. The only problem i had with it is that it felt a little too much like a filler for a third project. Also quick note i noticed your wallows shirt and thought that was ironic considering i saw them live a month ago and got the same shirt but with the australian dates on it

Same exact feelings about this one, Chris. The story was generic, it's not engaging until the third act, and the musical score takes a massive step down in comparison to the original film. Excited for what comes next, but this just seemed like filler for them to have a reason to get to that point. Great review, dude!

Completely agree with your comments. It’s a disappointing movie, and I don’t plan to watch it again. I’m sure my 8-yo daughter will watch it many times once it becomes available to stream, though.

Definitely had the feel of okay that's the end of episode 1 this is the opening of episode 2 they did it a few times, but the fact that they killed her is what makes this movie better sitting with it now for a few days.

I always find it ironic when straight men don’t like movies that are geared towards women, queer people, and children. Some movies just aren’t for the straight man. The movie is going to hit different if you’re apart of the other groups I’ve just mentioned. I know movies are supposed to have a mass appeal but sometimes straight men just don’t get it LMAO!
