Filson Tote Review | C.C. Filson

My thoughts on the Filson tote without zipper and what makes Filson and this bag so great!
It comes in Navy, Desert Tan, Otter Green, and Black.

I also have this bag. I love it. So durable and versatile. It's slightly heavy for my small frame but that's fine.

I have this tote in the 34 Ounce Heavy Tin Cloth. I've been a Filson fan for many years, but I must say you have to shop carefully these days. This company use to be pure utilitarian gear for people that had a use for it. Now they have Seattle cut BS, and Brooks Brothers collaborations. They used to have a true lifetime guarantee, no questions asked. Now it is the "lifetime of the product". If you want the good stuff, look for it online. Now they spend more money on their elaborate photo shoots of people welding underwater, or flyfishing in synthetic materials! Synthetics and Filson in the same sentence used to be unthinkable. They still make some good stuff, but the last catalog I got, again had products made overseas. These guys are now owned by the group that owns Fossil watches. This is not the Filson company of 30 years ago, and they have entirely alienated their core customer base for a crack at the fashion game.

hey!! for daily use as a handbag... probably. It is pretty large. It was great for me as a college bag/ handbag combo. I really wish they still made the small one

Thanks for your prompt response! Do you find this tote to be heavy at all? I have bad shoulders and can't tolerate any heavy bags.

@@Akittycat39 it's got a weight that would indicate quality, but not overly heavy I wouldn't say. The heaviest part is probably the straps
