This video helped me a lot. Now I can put a new one in my car.

So I did this today and realized my filter had NEVER been changed and Im sure it's because it's so hard to access. I will say there's an extra plastic bar across the metal horizontal bar they show removing and we were stumped but then realized it was perforated and supposed to be removed permanently. Around 2:17 ish you can see the broken parts where they took it off so we just sawed it off. This video is great thank you!

Removal of The side panel is needed to access one of the screws holding the glove compartment in place

We don't remove that piece in this video, so we are not sure what you are referring to. The panel on the right side is removed in order to give access to the bolts that need to be removed.
