this was truly horrible because the staff are absolutely amazing, talented, capable, they know what they are doing but eddie is treating this hotel as if it’s his home. it truly broke me to see brian like that, such a passionate man absolutely broken to pieces. i read in the comments that everything went back to how it was before. i hope the staff we saw here are working in places that actually deserve them and eddie is just personalizing his home and has a private chef to cook him his horrible dishes.

I was absolutely appalled how many times Gordon had to ask for gooddamn chair and water for a person passing out!! And after that when the chef was UNDER THE DAMN TABLE passed out he had to ask multiple times for someone of those many staff members to call an ambulance!! I'm surprised Gordon did not shout at them I would have thrown something at those idiots if I had to ask twise to help out a person whos blacked out.

In Italy (in the North, mainly), chocolate pizza is a very common dessert, especially with nutella. Sometimes even with strawberries and/or cheese, like stracchino. So I was like "Ok, fair enugh, what's the matter with i..." and then the bacon bit hit me. WTF. There are some dishes here that are a combination of prosciutto and chocolate... But not on a pizza and not as a dessert, wtf.

My dad, a successful executive chef of 30+ years, experienced exactly what Brian did when the hotel he worked at hired a shit restaurant "manager" (see: nepotism baby) that was overly controlling. He took over buying, menus, staffing, everything even though he knew nothing (he was a failed real estate agent) and it killed my dad and it broke our hearts to see him like that. Luckily, he found another place where he thrived even though it wasn't fine dining. He could create again! Let chefs create! It's what they were trained to do!

Actually what should've been pointed out clearly is that "the hotel is serving the guests, not Eddie. The one that should be satisified is the guests, not only him." The problem here is that Eddie wants everything to be on HIS will, but he didn't realised that HIS ideas and suggestions cannot make the customers happy.

Strange, in a lot of these episodes (as in the Tabatha takes over) there's a micromanaging owner without previous experience from any similar business, yet still they are unable to trust the employees they have hired who mostly are educated and experienced in the field.
