I love the juxtaposition between your demeanor and how violent the music is. It's freaking comedy gold. Thank you for your technical expertise!

That +1 semitone layer really adds some nice dirt to the breakdown

For extra curricular you can also add a -1 semitone version on top 😎 Then the note definition is completely gone though so that's just for pure insanity 😅

Very interesting. I love how you just go for the guts and pick the Grano as the main tone, Dr Drive is an excellent OD plug. Use all the time to shape my stuff. Not to mention that mix is EVIL. Subbed

Thanks man! The Granophyre is not the amp to go for when you need definition and clarity, but for super heavy chuggy stuff like this it just sounds so in your face

The drums sound so good, which library did you use ? A drum mix tutorial would be awesome

Same here. Im interested in the snare.

Thank you so much! The drums are a blend of different libraries. Cymbals and like 80% of the rest of the drum sound is using GGD P4. The main snare sound is from the Brass Copper snare in P4, that thing is a beast. A drum mixing tutorial can definitely be something for the future, it would be a long ome though as my current MIDI drum setup is unnecessarily complicated from tweaking over a long time 😄

I'm amazed at the amount of plugins you can run without Cubase bombing out! I have quite a monstrous PC, but I can't run half the amount you do! Anything you specifically did for that?

The boring answer is that I have built my computer specifically for running 100s of plugins 😅 But maxing out your buffer size on your interface helps as long as it's the CPU that is constraining you

Hey are you filtering off specific amounts of low end for each tone?, also do you try different ir and amps to see what will work?? I’m trying it now 😂
@MOMetalProductions
@MOMetalProductions 3 ай бұрын
Yes to all except the IR. There I try to keep it the same to tie the tones together. Especially the low-end can get quite muddy if you don't lower it in certain tones 🙂 I usually keep the main tone beefy in the lows and then lower the others until it sounds good to me

question what is the level of each track and the group bus before mastering?
@MOMetalProductions
@MOMetalProductions Жыл бұрын
That changes throughout the song. I generally bounce these out as separate tracks and then I can automate the volume up or down easily in the mix. I'd recommend leveling based on your personal taste and song 😊
