I bought a broken PS4 off GumTree for AUD$45 (USD$32), that reeks of cigarettes and aftershave. Sold as "fan not working" and with missing parts, a previous repair attempt was made by the owner.
Can i save this thing?

This reminded me of a dude I bought a not working car off of. It wasn't starting and he wanted 100 above scrap value. He didn't know what was wrong with it and refused to let me take it to a mechanic to see if it was worth my time, wouldn't let me see I the engine bay because "it's a $400 stop wasting my time" I couldn't see any oil leak and it had been sitting for 3 weeks so I bought it. The seats by themselves would have gotten me my money back, and the panels were dentless. When he signed all the paperwork and said "have fun" I called my cousin to bring his tow truck and looked inside the engine bay, his wife came out and told me that the car randomly cut out and she took it to her mechanic who said the wiring harness was rusted and it was gonna be a 5k fix (This doesn't make sense) so I looked at the battery and it was loose, I tightened it and jump started it. He came out cussed me out and demanded more money, I explained to him I might have considered telling him his mechanic was a scum bag if he told me what they thought the issue was. He didn't say what it was, and in the ad it said he just couldn't get it started suddenly. I may even have tightened the one screw and put cardboard under the battery for him to take it for a test drive. I would have been considerate if he wasn't so rude and abrupt, wouldn't even let me look at the engine. I probably wouldn't have bought the car if I knew the oil sump plug was stuck on with silicone. His daughter was thick tho I wish I could do that with my ps4. I didn't know they had these issues and bought one off of a dude, it turned on and I played Minecraft and Netflix for 5 mins. Now I can't even get God of war started

I bought a fat ps4 with the hdmi connector ripped off. I managed to repair it by buying a new connector and soldering it, on the other hand I realized that there was no more wifi antenna. At the beginning, I had put a wifi antenna from ps3 fat then I decided to install a wifi antenna from a laptop pc because it is much thinner and since then, it works very well. Thank you for your very informative video.

You know, The thingy behind the PS4 is the Wi-Fi Antenna I guess | On Hotspot, it can only Receive on Mobile, it receives 400Mbs Per Signal. Lots of Parts have been misplaced from the Unit. Caked up with some dust and other. Missing a hard drive, You could try to get a 1TB Hard Drive. More Space for the PS4. NOTE: I own a PS4. No problems, Good life, and had 1 or 2 Issues. Power Startup. Like, When a power outage strikes, you get a Power Warning.

I like people who make something like this. Also like people who would go Through the trouble of Cleaning everything. And not just make sure it works. I think that if you do that there's high chance that if you give something to the person who requested the repair would pay you more because you went to the trouble of doing more than you needed.
